Yoshi's Island '17 is an upcoming video game in the Yoshi series, due to be released in 2017.
Gameplay[]
Yoshi's Island '17 is a 2D side-scrolling platformer. The objective is to carry Baby Mario to the end of the level.
Unlike the other entries in the series, Yoshi has a health bar. There is usually only one way to keep Yoshi's health full, and that is by eating one of the 20 pieces of fruit in each level.
Plot[]
Kamek is seen in the present, reading a spell book. He discovers a spell that will let him travel back to the events of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, but with the catch that some of the events that happened may or may not be different. Kamek takes the risk and creates the spell.

Yoshis[]
There are nine playable Yoshis in the game. In each world, the player gets to choose each Yoshi they use per level. Once a Yoshi has been used in a world, however, they cannot be used for the rest of the world. If a player is revisiting a world they have already completed, they can use any Yoshi in any level.
The Yoshi's favourite egg is the egg they will get from swallowing enemies.
Green Yoshi cannot be used in the first 7 levels of World 7, as he has to be used for the castle of that world. Gold Yoshi is unlocked after beating Koopa Kingdom.

Baby Mario[]
Baby Mario must be carried by Yoshi through each level. Baby Mario will be in a certain mood depending on how much health Yoshi has.
