Yikkal is the main protagonist of the game Vigilants and the leader of the titular team.

Appearance

Yikkal is quite slim for a krexxon, with an average build and weight. He tends to wear simple armor.

Personality

Yikkal is more or less a conflicted individual. All of his life he's felt inferior to others, and he lacks self-confidence, not knowing what his true niche is as an individual. This can lead to brief depression spikes as well as moments where he just wants to be alone. He also finds it hard to trust others due to his past experiences.

However, when Yikkal is in a good mood, he's driven to help those around him, believing that his own life is less important than theirs. Self-sacrifice is an important virtue of his.

Yikkal makes his debut in Vigilants as the main playable character. Throughout the game, he develops more self-confidence and generally grows as a character.

Abilities

Yikkal is well-versed in the use of melee weaponry, having a general distaste for firearms. He can fight well up-close and utilizes his own species' abilities alongside his weapons.

Despite his lack of self-confidence, Yikkal is actually a talented pilot, and arguably the best one out of the Vigilants.

Trivia

• Yikkal's lack of self-confidence and general depression was inspired by that of his creator, Krexxal ^(t∣b∣c), who was going through the same feelings at the time of the character's creation. In a way, Yikkal is a manifestation of these beliefs.
