World of Light VS Dark (Titled Light VS Dark: The Real World in Japan) is a crossover fighting video game developed by MikuLuigi07 and published by SEGA for the Nintendo Switch.
The game crosses over with many franchises. It's unknown what the exact amount is. The game plays similar to Jump Force, which is it's inspiration.
The game is not a direct sequel or a reboot of Light VS Dark: Crossover and is it's stand alone game.
Gameplay
The game plays similar to Jump Force. 2 teams of 3 fight each other in a 3D style. The main difference is that every character has their own health bar. In a way, this is a 3D version of Light VS Dark: Crossover.
Story Mode
This game includes a single player story mode. To view the story mode, click here.
One day, fictional characters have entered Earth. Everyone thought they were friendly, but they have been destroying the world. The population wants them dead, and the government is out to kill them. Now, a group named the Light Resistance went out to find all seven chaos emeralds, but with the government and the villains after them, plus a group named the Anti Dark Resistance ruining their plans, they may not make it out alive.
- This game includes major spoilers from Story Mode, so it's recommended that you check out that page first.
Stages
So far, only 2 stages are confirmed. It's unknown how many stages there will be.
Location | Stage | Appearance |
---|---|---|
Unknown | Light Resistance Lab | A clear whitish lab with silver tech and cyan lights |
New York | New York City | Destroyed city covered in flames |
Playable Characters
So far, 16 playable characters have been confirmed. It's unknown how many there will be total.
Once a character is chosen, you can not choose the same person for your team again. Your opponent can, unless they already have the character in their team.
When a character hits danger, a splash of blood appears. The blood appears as a different color for some characters.
Every character has an awakening, which upgrades your speed and strength for a limit of time. Awakenings can only be activated when there's only one member of your team left. You also have a chance to use your strongest special, called the "Awakening Special". The longer you wait to use your Awakening Special, the weaker it will be. After you use your Awakening Special, whether you hit your opponent or miss, the awakening will be over.
The character's themes only play during their awakening. It's also only a small portion from that song, similar to the Team Ultimates from Team Sonic Racing. They are also all remixes.
