Wolf is one of the few returning playable characters in Super Smash Bros. Calamity that appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and hasn't appeared in any other subsequent Super Smash Bros. game, along with Snake, Ivysaur, Squirtle and Ice Climbers. Wolf is the leader of Star Wolf, a rival team of Star Fox and also the rival of the latter's leader, Fox McCloud. Initially, he was hired by Andross to take them down during the Lylat Wars.
Wolf's appearance now matches his Star Fox Assault appearance.
Wolf's dashing speed has increased, being almost as fast as Fox.
Up tilt can now combo into itself as it deals less knockback.
Up smash is now an uppercut that deals more knockback.
Dash attack is a dashing claw swipe forwards.
Wolf now extends his claws during his neutral aerial.
- The move has more range because of this.
Wolf's Reflector now acts like Fox's and Falco's Reflector depending where the opponent touches the shield.
Wolf Flash and Wolf Launch have less range.
- Wolf can wall jump and crawl.
