Winged Nexus: Conflict is a third-person class-based shooter developed by Twenty-Second Choice for the Wii U, Hybrid Fusion and NextGen Bluevolt, and a spin-off of the Winged Nexus series.

Gameplay

The game features two teams, the Elementals and the Vampires, who must fight each other to complete the objective of the map they are currently playing. Players can make use of their classes individual abilities to combat the other team.

Each class is equipped with a weapon (usually intended for melee range), and can also make use of two different magical abilities, which can be changed in the load-out screen alongside visual changes.

Persistent progress between matches comes in the form of achievements; completing an achievement usually unlocks a corresponding appearance item, and sometimes even a new ability or weapon.

Character Customisation

While each class has a default appearance, default abilities and a default weapon, these can be changed by the player when new items are unlocked through the completion of achievements. Most items can only be used by one class, and hence the classes are customised individually.

The only appearance option that doesn't have to be unlocked is gender. Each class has an individual appearance (and in some cases, name) for either gender, and all items for a class can be used regardless of gender.

The different slots that items can be equipped to are:

  • Head (hat, hair, etc)
  • Face (glasses, makeup, etc)
  • Upper Body (shirts, etc)
  • Legs (pants, etc)
  • Feet (shoes)
  • Wings
  • Weapon
  • Ability 1
  • Ability 2

Maps

Each map has it's own objectives for the teams to complete; in some maps, teams race to complete the same objective first but in others, one team attempts to complete an objective while the other team attempts to stop them, or they both attempt to complete their own objectives at the same time.
