Charles Martinet reprises his role in all regions, albeit via repurposed voice clips from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Mario Party series, Mario Kart 8, the Mario Strikers series, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and Mario Golf: Super Rush.
Have Waluigi join the player's party in World of Light: Requiem.
With the exception of the third method, Waluigi must then be defeated in the Tennis Stadium stage.
Attributes[]
Waluigi is a lightweight fighter with a very high double jump. While he doesn't hit hard like other characters do, his long range helps him very much, as he can reach just a bit further enough to strike his opponent.

Standard special
Explosive Serve
Waluigi tosses , the tennis ball in the air. If the button is pressed again, he will whack it with his Tennis Racket to hit the opponent forward, dealing small knockback, but high shield damage. He can swing the racket again without the ball by pressing B once again. The player can alter the trajectory of the ball by pressing up or down. There's a uncommon chance that a Bob-omb will appear, dealing higher damage and knockback, though is not as powerful as a regular Bob-omb, but if the player didn't press it in time will cause the Bob-omb to explode in front of Waluigi, damaging him in the process.
4.2% (ball), 18% (Bob-omb), 7% (tennis whack)
Side special
Waluigi Rush
Waluigi climbs aboard his Standard Bike L and begin to race around the stage. It is basically a clone of Wario Bike, except some difference surrounding it. The bike has 13 HP when dismounted and can be destroyed easily due to its low defence, Waluigi starts the move by automatically jump to perform a strong slam, and the traction is much higher. If the player press the button again after losing it will cause Waluigi to look in a shocked expression, so you have to wait for 7.3 seconds for him to use it again. An addition lifted from Bowser Jr.'s Side Special is the ability to do a doughnut by tapping left or right twice while accelerating.
0.6%-11.2% (ram, varies depending on acceleration and timing, full speed consistently deals 11.2%), 8.3% (wheelie beginning, can combo with ram), 5% (wheelie), 13% (wheelie ground slam), 7% (turn), 3% (turn late, can hit twice), 3.5% (jumped off), 9.2%-14.7% (doughnut)
Up special
Whirluigi
Waluigi bends his body to resemble his signature Γ shape and twirls in the air. The player can tap the button multiple to boost its height and can be aimed diagonally left, straight up or diagonally right. The leg has a sweetspot at the end and anyone caught by that will be spinned by the whirlwind themselves.
3.6%, 22% (sweetspot)
Down special
Risky Dice Block
A Dice Block suddenly appears in Waluigi's hands as he tosses it forwards to explode, revealing a number. This functions similar to Mr. Game & Watch's Judge, except the player can hold the button down as the dice's number will quickly change.
Waluigi will be stunned for 2.2 seconds as four coins flies away, leaving him to be attacked.
Explodes into confetti, dealing little to no knockback and damage.
Produces a windbox that pushes opponents.
No damage, but gives Waluigi 6 coins.
Produces toxic gas that poisons opponents.
Produces electricity
Coins will be throwned in all direction before descending. The more coins Waluigi gets, the more they will appear in the dice.
Buries grounded opponent and meteor smashes aerial ones.
A random item will appear.
Produces a huge explosion that deals high knockback
Waluigi will enter in a crouching position as he charges up before launching himself like a spinning torpedo. Unlike other cinematic Final Smashes, the player can actually hold the button to increase the range and damage. Anyone caught by the move will be brought to the Tennis Stadium at night, where Waluigi fires multiple Bob-ombs using a repurposed tennis ball machine at the opponents, who they struggle to hit one with their own tennis rackets. When Waluigi runs out of it, he will jump in the air and grabs them with his spiny thorns, lifting them upwards. He then jumps again as the purple vortex surrounds his body that turns his face and mustache into into tones of purple and white, finishing off the move by doing a powerful whip strike at them with a long white vine.

Classic Mode: Raising to the top[]
Waluigi's Classic Mode route is a clever reference to his rising status as a playble fighter in the game, due to being the most request character since his confirmation as an Assist Trophy in Brawl. The characters he fights are also heavily requested to be added back in the days of Melee.

Giant Ridley represent the infamous "Ridley is too big" meme. Metal Waluigi, with the chosen music and stage, is a reference to the fight against Metal Mario in Melee's Adventure Mode. It may represent Waluigi being stucked in his role as an Assist Trophy, and Metal Waluigi is seen as an obstacle to break the chains.
Credits roll after completing Classic Mode. Completing it as Waluigi has "Waluigi Pinball (Brawl)" accompany the credits.
