-Vor'nal, In The Shadow Of An Empire

Vor'nal is an Amphibios engineer first introduced in the story In The Shadow Of An Empire as a member of the Vanguard of Spirits. Despite his socially awkward nature, he's always willing to stand up for what's right.

Appearance[]

Vor'nal's defining trait is his lack of physicality. He's quite skinny, and lacks muscle in a sense. Besides that, he has the usual Amphibios features: green scales, fins on his back, and webbed hands and feet. He usually wears some light armor, though he isn't a fighter. On his back is a custom-built trident that can also double as all kinds of tools.

Personality[]

Vor'nal is easily intimidated. Years of being bullied in his childhood have made him meek, but he managed to fight through it. Despite this, he has a passion for technology in its various forms, and is willing to try out new machines.

Vor'nal is also known for his ability to comprehend computers and their associated systems. There's hardly any computer systems he can't get into.

History[]

Childhood[]

Vor'nal was born on Agualeira, the Amphibios homeworld. As he grew up, his parents noticed his lack of muscle and physicality, and felt disappointed in a sense. Vor'nal would be mocked by his peers for being unable to keep up with them in the water, and he'd live a childhood of loneliness.

In his spare time, Vor'nal would begin to tinker with all sorts of machinery, constructing various things. Despite the disapproval of his parents, he kept going, and eventually managed to build his own spaceship. When the time came, Vor'nal left Agualeira behind, hoping to find a new place for himself in the universe.

Joining the Vanguard[]

Unfortunately, Vor'nal's ship ended up in a wormhole, before being spat out near the planet Kalnar. He survived the imminent crash, and was nursed back to health by members of the Vanguard of Spirits. When he had told them that he built the ship and trident in his possession himself, they were in awe of his technological prowess and invited him into the Vanguard of Spirits.

Within the Vanguard of Spirits, Vor'nal would conduct maintenance on ships and weapons, as well as working on designing new technology to aid the Vanguard. It was boring at times, but better than his life on Agualeira.

With the Generals[]

As Vor'nal worked within the Vanguard, he heard stories of four significant generals: Taikari, Keraniza, Gralnin, and Zerrik. He sought to impress the high-ups of the Vanguard so his technological expertise could be used more frequently, and this chance came when the four went on a mission to the krexxon empire. He accompanied them via a ship he built himself.

What followed was a massive adventure that saw Vor'nal and his allies fighting in a civil war to prevent the Circle of Shadows from securing vital information the krexxon empire holds.

Trivia[]

  • Vor'nal's childhood is inspired by that of Anakin Skywalker from the Star Wars movies.
