Almost every Nintendo console owner loves Mario and his adventures in Mushroom Kingdom. I like series' gameplay, music, level design. But I think that Mario is overrated, according to my opinion. There are reasons:
- I don't want to save beautiful and cute blonde princess from Koopa's paws or win various competitions as overweight, mustached plumber with high-pitched voice. Only goal that I will help him to achive is to clean my clogged sink. I want to see Mario or as boy with shorts, baseball cap and t-shirt without mustache, or as muscular man with blue jeans, biker's mustache and low pitched austrian accent, like Arnold Schwarzenneger. But I would rather choose first preference of redesign, because it would be a little like Terminator rip-off. I stll like Luigi's voice but I want to redesign him, like I want to redesign Mario. I am a little disappointed, when Nintendo made plumbers kawaiiish.
- As seen above Peach is princess due to her beauty, youtrh and cuteness. If she is orphan she must be queen!
- Mario games' sequels started to appear with interesting mechanics but one generation later.
- Super Mario Bros. 3 have no save function, despite the Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy had already existed.
Anyway, I still love Mario games franchise. I love every game, except for Hotel Mario, which gameplay sucks. If you still love Mario's appearance and current design, ignore this blog, don't blame me and don't wish me to die and rot in hell.
