If many of you played Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you may been surprised for the fact that Banjo and Kazooie returned under Nintendo’s umbrella as playable characters in the game. Which made sense that initially during N64 era that the bear/bird duo debuted to the general public upon the release of the game Banjo-Kazooie in 1998, which became popular ever since, and following up with a sequel Banjo-Tooie and the series of handheld games. Despite since 2002 and as of today, that the company who made the franchise Rare is currently owned by Microsoft for Nintendo’s rival console brand Xbox, this return of the two for SSBU sure brings Nintendo and as well as the fans back some good memories where Rare was considered a huge partner relationship with Nintendo. And even you‘ve played the Banjo-Kazooie-successor video game Yooka-Laylee, although it’s not a Nintendo brand.

So here’s an interesting scenario for all of you BK fans, since they’ve made their appearance in Ultimate, what would happened if you’d imagine if Rare had decide to sell off the rights to the franchise back to Nintendo for their future with the bear and a bird?
