Okay so I've been trying to think of something to contribute on this site before I go to college and I think I've got something. A page for resources and tutorials. I know we already have Fantendo:Resources but that's not exactly what I mean. I'm thinking a page or series of pages that would provide tutorials on wikicode, art, spriting, coding, and game design theory. Some of it would be solely based around Fantendo editing, while other parts would be for Fantendo users who want to make their games a reality. Anyone could contribute to these pages, of course.

    Open Sourcemon

November 24, 2016 by Electric Version

Okay I had another one of my dumb ideas which is bad news for everyone! Open Source Pokemon Clone. Where people submit ideas for NotPokemon designs and they get voted on by the community and then added to NotPokemon Game.

What do yall think? Would anyone be interested in contributing ideas or even graphics to such a project?

    Handmade ASCIIArt

October 6, 2016 by Electric Version

Request characters and I will handcraft ASCII-art of them.

"But Nick, why would we want that?"

    Good question.

"If we did want that, couldn't we just use an online pixel-to-text converter?"

    Game Contest

September 30, 2016 by Electric Version

So this came up as a joke on chat, but I thought it would be cool to have a game contest. It's more or less an RPG maker contest, but you can use any game engine. But I expect it'll be mostly RPG Maker. Anyway, yeah. The deadline is Christmas. I'll be judging the entries based on several things:

    1. Gameplay - is it fun?
    2. Originality - is it unique?
    3. Story (OPTIONAL) - if there is a story, is it good?
    4. Graphics - Doesn't have to be gorgeous, but is it bearable to look at?
    5. Effort - Obviously it's best if you're ambitious with this!

Note: Collaboration is limited to 2 people per project. You don't have to collaborate, but you can if you want to.

I'm not sure yet what the rewards will be for the winner and second place, but there will be rewards of some sort…
