A trailer opens up. A Smash Bros. transition appears on the screen.
We are put into a large arena, where Mario, Kirby, Peach and Bowser are seen fighting off against a group of characters infected by the Glitch. Mario and Kirby are seen fighting together, trying to fight the horde off.
However, Mario’s fist is suddenly grabbed by an infected Heavy, who punches him in the gut and knocks him away. Kirby is also launched away by an unknown enemy with him. Peach and Toad attempt to figure out what to do.
An infected Marth and Lucina attempt to rush in, only to be stopped by Bowser, who blocks their attacks and retaliates with a powerful attack. Bowser then looks to Peach, seeing that she is fine, and not noticing an infected Captain Falcon rushing towards him. He lands a Falcon Punch on Bowser, knocking him on his back and leaving him unconscious.
Bowser and Kirby are knocked out, and Mario is left without any energy. The group is surrounded by the glitched fighters. All hope is lost.
Suddenly, laser beams begin raining down from the sky, saving the group in the nick of time. A good chunk of the glitched fighters are knocked away.

A mysterious figure surrounded by stars falls from the sky. Upon reaching the ground, the figure, a wooden doll, falls to the ground, lifeless. Mario seems to recognize the figure.
A small star floats around it, before flying into it, causing it to come to life. He turns to Mario and silently nods, before striking a pose.
Geno Brings in the Big Guns!
Geno’s hand converts into a gun, which fires at the screen, transitioning into gameplay.
During this we see Geno fighting against various other characters. The trailer emphasizes his main gimmick, Action Commands, increasing the power of his attacks based on the timing of your button presses. The trailer then ends with a crowd of glitched characters jumping towards Geno, before he uses his Final Smash: Geno Flash, transforming into a cannon and creating an incredibly powerful explosion, transitioning into the Smash Something logo.
As the trailer ends. We cut to a black void. Geno looks around, and suddenly a voice is heard and a girl is seen standing near him.
?: Um… so this is the Smash thing Redge was invited to right?
We see behind her Shine, climbing onto Master Hand, grabbing at him and biting his fingers.
Shine: That’s my invitation! Give it back!
Master Hand: Woman you weren’t invited at all! You broke into someone’s house, knocked them out and stole their invitation! You are NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE NEAR HERE!
Master Hand then summons a portal and tosses Shine into it, snapping and causing it to disappear once she goes through.
?: Yeah, um. Told me he didn’t wanna go, said he was too lazy. So he just gave it to me.
The girl then strikes a pose, ice emanating around her as she creats four large icicles
Yuki Brews Up a Blizzard!
Yuki: So … looks like we’ll be fighting, huh?
Geno looks at her and nods, and the two stand together.
Suddenly flashes of light appear, as Yuki and Geno move and four silhouettes appear between them. Text appears above them.
