  • Paper Mario 64 - Highly recommended if you want a basic RPG experience. Easy to get the hang of, amazing and changing atmospheres, not too complex but still a bit of a challenge.
  • Pokémon Black and White Versions (2) - most long-time fans say that Gen V was pretty crappy with the new feel, style, pkmn etc, but as a standalone set of games they were fantastic. Easily my favorite set of pkmn games; if you've never played a pkmn game I would definitely recommend starting with these. The sequels are considerably harder so I would go with them afterwards, especially if you want the story references and such, but they've got a shitload of postgame content as well if you like that kind of stuff.
  • Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
  • Mario Party 9
  • Portal
  • Kirby's Return to Dream Land
