Uno Coins is a collectible coin game based on the Uno card game, co-created by Mattel and Aunawhim Media.

Basic play[]

Players use specially minted, casino chip–like coins, marked with a color and number on each face. They take turns tossing coins, attempting to match either color or number to the last coin tossed. The objective is to be the first to use all of one's coins.

If a player's flip does not match in color nor number, or if they are caught not saying "Uno" when they have one coin remaining, they must choose one of their used coins to draw.

Coins[]

The faces of the coins are assembled together randomly, so players must strategize to choose what coin to flip to maximize their chances of a match. The fact that these coins are double-sided also means that players can openly view others' coins and consider which ones they may used.

The standard set of face colors is red, yellow, green, and blue, and the standard range of face numbers is from 0 to 9. This provides over 1,000 permutations of basic coins. Like 0-cards in the Uno deck, 0-face coins are considerably rarer than the other numbers, making them more useful if the next player is unlikely to have a coin of matching color.

Skip-, Reverse-, Draw-, and Wild-face coins are also relatively common, with an increased probability to have the same action on both faces; though officially there is a limit as to how many of these types of special coins can be used in a game.

Rare special coins are occasionally introduced, such as purple and 10-coins that may be more difficult to match to if they land on the correct side, to incentivize players to purchase new booster packs.
