Ty-Foos are gigantic clouds that appear in the Mario series. They attack by blowing very strong gusts of wind that will typically blow Mario off a platform and/or into a wall of spikes or some other obstacle.
In Super Mario 3D World, they can be defeated by invincibility, but this is risky due to Ty-Foos being over pits. In Super Mario Odyssey, they're found only in Snow Kingdom, and Mario can capture them with Cappy. In some areas, he'll need to capture them to blow wooden block platforms into place so he can solve puzzles to access more Power Moons, while in one of the four challenges that Mario must complete in Shiveria in order to reopen the Bound Bowl, he will need to capture Ty-Foos to blow away Spinies and traverse the purple sludge.
