Toy Story War is the working title for a upcoming title for The V² developed by Toroko with licensing from Pixar and Disney. The game is a team-based third-person shooter multiplayer game starring Toy Story characters, although it also has an open-world "toy box" mode.
Premise[]
A war is raging from inside of a toy store, with no exact known cause although the war seems to get messier and messier with every day. One day, a LEGO minifigure escapes to Bonnie's house to find Woody and Buzz, who has become somewhat legendary due to the events of Toy Story 3. This LEGO minifigure, named Brick, informs Woody and Buzz of what is happening at the Toy Store and asks them to help. Woody and Buzz, along with many of Bonnie's other toys, agree to help and set off to stop the great toy war.
Gameplay[]
Toy Story War is, more or less two halves conjoined into one game. In the first half, the multiplayer team-based shooter takes place across multiple maps with the various Toy Story characters and their abilities. There are two teams who have three players (for a total of six players each match), who can play as various characters. Each character has four unique abilities and gameplay. The objective is to invade the other team's base, although some maps have unique twists on this basic formula.
The other half of this game is the open-world "Toy Box" mode. The game takes place inside of a giant toy store and players can recruit various toys to their custom-named faction as well as fight off other toy factions, some of which can be other players. Some toys require special missions to earn their trust. The player can also customize their land to their liking.
Loot can be earned by the player through leveling up in matches or finding or earning them in Toy Box mode.

Trivia[]
- The game was originally going to have three modes; the multiplayer team-based mode, a campaign mode, and the toybox mode. The campaign mode was excised as Toroko decided it was unnecessary.
- Originally, the idea for Toy Story War was a movie, which would have featured a war going on in a toy store with multiple factions. However, this concept was better suited to a game.
- The idea for Toy Story War, more or less, has been around since 2010.
