Tingle is a middle-aged man in The Legend of Zelda series who dresses in green, pretending to be a "forest fairy". Whenever he meets Link, he always asks him if he is a forest fairy. These "forest fairies" may be the Kokiri, or just plain Fairies. He is loved in Japan, but disliked outside of Japan. He first appeared in the Nintendo 64 classic The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
