+ | ''The Legend of Zelda: Titans Seal'' plays similar to its predecessors, mixing puzzles, action, adventure, battling and exploration. The structure of the game takes most inspiration from ''Breath of the Wild'', in which players traverse a fully explorable world where they are only hindered by their stamina. Most of the world is accessible to player's immediately, however some locations cannot be traversed without the necessary items found inside dungeons. |
− | From the outset of the game, the player is free to explore anywhere in Hyrule. The final boss can be faced at the very start of the game if the player wishes to do so, although it is not advised to do so. Instead the player is encouraged to awaken the six Titans |

The final boss can be faced at the very start of the game if the player wishes to do so, although it is not advised to do so. Raids also make their first appearance in the series. A raid is a smaller dungeon that is tackled by four different heroes. These can either be computer AI or other player's that you connect to through Nintendo Switch Online. The raid will usually have a mission attached to it such as 'collect as many Luminous Stones as you can' or defeating a boss at the end. The four players will take on the same color scheme as the Link's in ''The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords''. |

At any time, the player can switch to Oolla's top-down field of view in the sky. In this state, the player can fly above the ground and perform many functions. Oolla's abilities play a heavy role in puzzle-solving throughout the game. Some of her abilities include going to areas inaccessible by Link, picking up items that are out of reach and passing by enemies undetected. Oolla also acts as the fast-travel mechanic, picking up Link and flying him to his destination. |

===Enhancement=== |
||
− | Enhancement is a new skill available to the series that allows player's to upgrade their equipment by combining two or more different pieces together. For example, each weapon has three different stats: durability, power, and speed. A weapon like a Boko Club with low durability can be upgraded to have high durability by enhancing it. This would require combining the Boko Club with other weapons that have a high durability. Secondary weapons that are used to enhance the base weapon are removed from the inventory after the enhancement process. |

− | This can be done to armor, weapons and bows. Each piece of equipment will now have a rank out of five stars that is indicative of the stats that piece of equipment has. Enhancing a single piece of equipment too many times will cause its durability to break down faster than usual. |

+ | Many changes in Hyrule have occurred since Twilight Princess. Most notably, the abundance of new structures in the kingdom. During the hundred year Age of Light, there were no major threats or wars in Hyrule, meaning the people were quickly advancing as a species in technology and architecture. This lead to a plethora of new villages and buildings that were soon abandoned for even newer structures. |
Many instances of evolution between Twilight Princess can be seen throughout the game. For example, the monkey race residing in Faron Woods have evolved into intelligent beings known as the Monank and formed their own home in Monank Forest. The Deku, long thought to have gone extinct, return to the surface of Hyrule after having lived underground for centuries to avoid evil. As such, they have become far less aggressive creatures then they used to be. |

The Legend of Zelda: Titans Seal is the twentieth installment in the franchise, and the third installment on the Nintendo Switch, including original games and remakes. The game is set to be released in 2020 for all regions and is being developed by Amuza.
The story follows Link on a quest to save Hyrule from Ganondorf's successor, Cyn. The Gerudo forces have become super powered following an earthquake which separated all of the regions of Hyrule from each other. From the abyss surrounding each region rises the evil aura of Ganon, which the Gerudo have harnessed as a weapon. By waking the Titans, Link can close the abyss and cut off the Gerudo's connection to Ganon.
Story
Prologue
Outset
Hyrule has been living through a hundred year age of light, uninterrupted by the forces of a dark evil.
Princess Zelda and Impa arrive on the small Diyon Island by boat, hoping to find new warriors for the Hyrule Imperial Guard. However, unknown to the public, Zelda and Impa are actually looking for the reincarnation of the hero of the land. Diyon Island has only recently become a part of Hyrule, so the townspeople are still resistant to their new Princess. After running training sessions for the Diyonian people, Zelda thinks she has found who they are looking for. Later, Link is called upon to give an offering to Zelda as thanks for visiting the island.
Zelda opens up to Link about her true reasoning for coming to Diyon Island. She tells him that he may be the only person who can stop the rise of the Gerudo Forces and their leader, Cyn. Zelda and Impa take Link to the Hyrule mainland and he bids farewell to his sister.
Once on the mainland, Impa tasks Link to explore the nearby Monank Forest and find the tallest tree of the forest. If he truly is the chosen one, it will be revealed to him within the forest. Link finishes Impa’s mission and comes across the Tree of Life. The spirit within the tree tells Link about the prophecy of a boy from the woods slaying a man from the desert. Zelda knows of the prophecy, and wants to find the hero as soon as possible before the Gerudo forces get too strong. Before Link leaves, the spirit within the tree awakens one of the sculptures etched into it’s side. The creature introduces herself as Oolla and joins Link on his quest.
Impa greets Oolla and Link as they return from the forest. They ride to Hyrule Castle together to reunite with Princess Zelda, but on the way, Link notices something odd. They ride across a bridge that separates the land. Inside the bottomless abyss, a strange aura passes underneath them.
Once inside Hyrule Castle, Zelda tells Link about the state of Hyrule. After the Earthquake of Din, the regions of Hyrule broke apart and started floating independently of each other, creating the Abyss of Bad Dreams. Deep within the earth, a mysterious aura began to pour out. Ganon’s aura. The Gerudo have learnt to harness the aura as a weapon and have become incredibly strong.
However, Zelda knows a way to reunite the regions of Hyrule. She tells Link to awaken the six Titans, giant sculptures that are etched into the landscape of Hyrule. Zelda stares out across Hyrule Field to Faron to see one of the Titans lying flat. The Titan blends into the landscape, making it indistinguishable from any ordinary mountain. If the Titans are awakened, the land will connect again and cut off the Gerudo’s connection to Ganon.
The Missing Link
Speaking with Impa inside Hyrule Castle will reveal that Link has lost connection to all of his previous lives. Impa will take Link down into the Dungeon of Hyrule underneath Hyrule Castle. At the end of the dungeon is a Goddess Statue. Link placing his hand on the statue will reconnect him with all of his previous lives, unlocking the Choir of a Thousand Voices. Link can now sing songs with the choir to affect the land and people in a number of different ways. Impa will teach Link the Song of the Titan, which can be used to awaken the Titans at the end of a temple.
Cave of Bad Dreams
The first time Links passes over The Abyss of Bad Dreams, Ganon's aura that pours out of the ground will pull Link down into the abyss. Link will awaken in the Cave of Bad Dreams, where a small shrine rests. Walking up to the shrine will reveal that Link can actually make contact with Cyn through Ganon's aura. Link and Cyn now stand within the same room, but are unable to harm each other. This cave will become a point Link will return to many times throughout his journey as Cyn desires to meet with Link. There are a total of seven Bad Dreams that can be unlocked throughout Link's quest. Oolla will inform Link each time a Bad Dream is unlocked, and a large pillar of Ganon's aura will rise out of the abyss surrounding Hyrule Field. Flying into the pillar will teleport Link to the cave. All seven meetings are detailed below.
- The first time entering the cave, Cyn will explain what the cave is, and put his arm through Link's chest to prove they can't hurt each other. Cyn will tell his plan to defeat Link, then storm Hyrule Castle and overthrow the royal family.
- The second time entering the cave, Cyn will transform the cave to look like they are standing at Ganondorf's funeral. Cyn explains that after Ganondorf had been slain, he was given a burial in Hyrule Field. He believes that the Earthquake of Din was actually Ganondorf's spirit awakening. In Ganondorf's rage, he caused the great earthquake that separated all the regions of Hyrule, explaining why his aura is pouring out of the ground.
- The third time entering the cave, Cyn will teleport the two of them onto a cloud high above Hyrule. Cyn thinks he was a little too intimidating in their earlier meetings, so he decides to sit down and introduce himself. He reminds Link that all of Hyrule is at stake, and that he wouldn't want to fail all of its people too would he?
- The fourth time entering the cave, Cyn shows Link his first memory. Link is teleported into the desert during a rough sandstorm. A woman holding a baby walks in front of them. As Cyn reminisces on his childhood and his mother, Link watches as the woman places the baby on the front door of house and leaves. Cyn asks Link if he has ever met his mother.
- The fifth time entering the cave, the cave will be transformed into the setting of Cyn's coronation. He is heralded by all of the Gerudo as the first man born in one hundred years. Cyn feels the intense pressure of the prophecy on his shoulders, but it promises to make the Gerudo power rise and take Hyrule from the Hylian royal family. He asks Link if anyone believes in him as much as the Gerudo believe in Cyn.
- The sixth time entering the cave shows Link making contact with Cyn and Ganon.
- The final time entering the cave, Cyn teleports the two of them into the Sacred Realm. Inside the Sacred Realm, Cyn casts doubt on their roles in the prophecy that takes place every hundred years. Cyn points out that one of the pieces of the Triforce still remains in the sacred realm, meaning that one of Zelda, Link, or Cyn is not the real bearer of the Triforce.

False Prophecy
Gameplay
The Legend of Zelda: Titans Seal plays similar to its predecessors, mixing puzzles, action, adventure, battling and exploration. The structure of the game takes most inspiration from Breath of the Wild, in which players traverse a fully explorable world where they are only hindered by their stamina. Most of the world is accessible to player's immediately, however some locations cannot be traversed without the necessary items found inside dungeons.
From the outset of the game, the player is free to explore anywhere in Hyrule. The final boss can be faced at the very start of the game if the player wishes to do so, although it is not advised to do so. Instead the player is encouraged to awaken the six Titans which will decrease the final boss's power, or complete missions to strengthen Link before the final battle.
The player also collects a number of items from dungeons. Each item can help solve puzzles and get the player through the story.
The four players will take on the same color scheme as the Link's in The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords.
Oolla
One of the game's new mechanics takes form of Link's new partner, Oolla. A member of the Oocca race, Oolla was one of the etchings made into the Tree of Life. The spirit within the Tree of Life revived Oolla and gave her the task of helping Link on his journey.
Oolla follows Link around by flying overhead. She is very intelligent, knowing the history of all of Hyrule, allowing her to help inform Link on the many different areas he explores.
Enhancement
Enhancement is a new skill available to the series that allows player's to upgrade their equipment by combining two or more different pieces together. For example, each weapon has three different stats: durability, power, and speed. A weapon like a Boko Club with low durability can be upgraded to have high durability by enhancing it. This would require combining the Boko Club with other weapons that have a high durability, like a Thunderblade. Secondary weapons that are used to enhance the base weapon are removed from the inventory after the enhancement process.
This can be done to armor, weapons and bows. Each piece of equipment will now have a rank out of five stars that is indicative of the stats that piece of equipment has. Enhancing a single piece of equipment too many times will cause its durability to break down faster than usual. Equipment can be enhanced at the Blacksmith's in every settlement.

The eye of the Keel I will often be in a more hidden spot than the spore launcher, making Link often have to search for it. |

Dungeons
Dungeons are large structures in which the character has to traverse through to progress the story. A dungeon mainly consists of puzzle-solving but there are also treasures to collect, enemies to overcome, and a piece of equipment that Link can use throughout the game.
Typically at the end of a temple is a prized item that the hero needs, or a Titan that the hero needs to awaken to form the titular Titans Seal that will be used to lock Cyn away for good. Sometimes, the purpose of a dungeon is different, such as the Gerudo Keep which is designed to be completed so that the Gerudo Forces will be weakened.
There are three kinds of dungeons within the game. These include Key Dungeons, Story Dungeons, and Raid Dungeons. Key Dungeons will include a key item hidden within them, Story Dungeons are essential to completing the game's main story, such as waking a Titan or locating the final boss. Lastly, Raid Dungeons are where players can partake in a raid with three other players.
Similar to Breath of the Wild, all dungeons are accessible from the start of the game except for the Titan Dungeons, which requires the Four's Fortress to be completed before the four Titan reviving temples can be accessed. However, the Titan's Sanctuary can be accessed from the beginning of the game.
The list of Story Dungeons are as follows.
- Dungeon of Hyrule
- Titan of Light
- Titan of the Forest
- Titan of Fire

Timeline placement
On the canonical timeline, The Legend of Zelda: Titans Seal takes place on the Child Era, exactly one hundred years after Twilight Princess when Ganondorf was executed by the Hero of Light.
The Gerudo legend foretold that every hundred years, a Gerudo male would be born. Cyn is the next Gerudo male after Ganondorf. Over the last hundred years, the Gerudo tribe went into hiding and left Hyrule to rebuild their faction and live a simpler life. Cyn has since reignited the Gerudo power and sent them on a mission to overthrow the Hylian monarchy.
Many changes in Hyrule have occurred since Twilight Princess.
Major Events
- The Expansion of Hyrule: Following the Twili Invasion, the rule of Hyrule was expanded to include new areas to protect more people. Many villages were in ruin as they did not have the resources to fight back against the Twili. From the expansion of Hyrule; Akkala, Necluda and Hebra were three new provinces that were formed.
- Earthquake of Din: A strong earthquake that struck the entirety of Hyrule. It hit the Eldin province the hardest, altering much of its geography. From the earthquake Mount Din formed, a mountain that rival's Death Mountain in height. It also lead to the dispersal of the Goron species, who have now split into three different tribes with their own unique culture.
- The Abyss of Bad Dreams: Following the Earthquake of Din, each region of Hyrule broke apart and they now all float above the earth independently of each other. The abyss that leads deep down into the ground is known as the Abyss of Bad Dreams. Out of the abyss rises a dark but powerful aura. This actually turns out to be Ganon's aura.
- The Lost Woods Fires: For one full moon straight, a large portion of the forest was slowly burning to the ground. The fires led to the destruction of the Kokiri Forest. Many Hyruleans tried to help stop the forest from burning to the ground but were subsequently transformed into Skull Kid's. Those transformed have adapted to their new life and formed the Skull Kid Village.
- Monank: A race of happy-go-lucky monkeys that have carved out their own piece of Hyrule within the Faron province. Within the last hundred years, the Monank have formed their tribe and become intelligent.
Folklore
Folklore refers to the side-missions in the game. In general, there is a common myth that has been spread by people, but doesn't have a clear answer. Link then investigates into the myth to get to the bottom of it. For example, one of Eldin's folklore is known as 'The Moblin Quarry'. An abandoned quarry has become overrun by Moblin's for some reason. To complete this side-mission, the player must kill The Moblin King where they then discover that the quarry has a secret entrance into the Goron Mines accessible by the Moblins. This access point has allowed them to gather gems and sell them for riches.
Listed below are the game's folklores;

While travelling Hyrule, if Link solves these conveniences, he will receive a Goddess Cube that will appear out of the ground. He can take the Goddess Cubes to Inogo in Hateno Village who in turn will expand his inventory. After giving Inogo all of the Goddess Cubes, he will figure out what their meaning and rush to the Hidden Village in Eldin. When meeting Inogo in the village, he will reveal that the Goddess Cubes represent the souls of the people who lived in the village before they disappeared. It is revealed that the villagers were all from the Sheikah tribe, and the Inogo was born in the village as a kid, making him an honorary Sheikah. Impa will appear and teach Inogo all about the history of the Sheikah. |

The owners of Lon Lon Ranch and Windmill Milk have a heated rivalry over who makes the best milk in Hyrule. The family at Windmill Village believe the family from Lon Lon Ranch have purposely been trying to sabotage the business by dressing up as monsters. Link tries to make peace between the two families, to no avail. If Link stays at Windmill Milk one night, he will see that a number of real monsters have actually been ransacking the farm, and he defeats all the monsters. In the end, the family at Windmill Milk decide to just sell Sunkissed fruits, like their daughter Franzia insists. |
Caves of No Return Island of No Return |

The Outlaw with No Name Hyrule Field |
In the Parthenon, there is talk of the 'Outlaw with No Name'. He used to be one of the greatest fighters in the coliseum, but vanished one day. If Link wins works his way through the ranks and wins over twenty fights, he can work up many of the outlaws to help Link break into Juro An Mie's Quarters. Juro An Mie is the organiser of all the fights and the number one fighter, and it turns out he locked up the 'Outlaw with No Name' in his quarters and used black magic to steal all of his skills. |

Trivia
- The musical instrument that Link would bring with him throughout the game was originally going to a chrysalis. This was changed to the choir of his previous lives late in development.
- The Cave of Bad Dreams main quest acts very similar to the memories from Breath of the Wild.
- The Song of Whistling Hill is a form of 'Saria's Song' from previous games. It's likely that Whistling Hill is Saria's grave.
