The Legend of Zelda: The Underground Tale is an upcoming Zelda game for the Nintendo Wii. Nintendo hopes that it will be released by late 2011 to early 2012.

Link has lived his life in the kingdom of Hyrule, a land of many legends and mystic mysteries. He has a secret best friend. His best friend is a princess named Princess Zelda. They would go out on secret adventures and made their little on missions. One of their little fun missions had turned out to be the biggest mission of adventure they had of all of their lives. It started out as this little mission: Link and Zelda have to find the biggest burrow they could find in Hyrule Castle's little backyard for the princess. When Link and Zelda find the biggest burrow, they mysteriously found stairs. Meanwhile, a close friend friend of Link and Zelda named Rononzo was in the castle, he looked out at a window and saw the two about to go down a burrow. He quickly zoomed down to the backyard entrance and caught them. He said that it was dangerous to go down there but they ignored him. So he just decided to go along with them instead. Suprisingly, all three find the most importent thing they ever did in their lives. They find a mysterious underground kingdom hidden beneath Hyrule named Terenialia. All three explored the place and they felt dark senses all around them. They have then found out that dark forces rule over Terenialia and plans to take over the kingdom above, Hyrule. The three are met with a wise old owl named Kaepora Gaebora. He tells them that they have to find the most sacred item to both Hyrule and Terenialia to stop these forces. To find this sacred item, the three must travel through different dungeons, both in Hyrule and Terenialia to collect pieces of an ancient puzzle to unfold the key that leads to the sacred item of both kingdoms.

This game will take place as the latest story in the timeline series (canon-wise). Hints to that is that Terenialia has a little steampunk theme but still has a medieval kingdom theme overall. The physical setting will be in the land of Hyrule and Terenialia.

Other information

Link has been confirmed to be the youngest out of all the Links (canon-wise) being at the age of seven. Link will have a companion which is Princess Zelda herself like in Spirit Tracks. She is exactly the age Link is (sharing the same birthday and the actual time being born). A guy named Rononzo who looks physically and acts similar to Gonzo and Alfonzo but is younger (exactly age eighteen). He also acts as a secondary companion who is also playable. The following three enemies have turned to the goodside now. Darknuts now act as guards and knights of Hyrule, they can talk, and have a more wolf-like appearance. Moblins are more nice and don't fight, but they tend to be very bitter every now and then, and crave for a lot of rupees. They retain their Wind Waker appearance exept more comical looking. Stalchildren have also turned good and they litterally have a more Yoshi-like appearance and they have yellow eyes instead of red. They are now like children playing outdoor activities.

Gameplay and controls

The gameplay and control will be very, very similar to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword with one exeption. You will also switch out who you will want to play as, Link, Zelda, and Rononzo.

Graphically, the graphics are once again a mix of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, but not in the Skyward Sword type of way. The surroundings and the characters look cel-shaded and cartoon-like, but rendered in a realistic type of art. It basically means that Link will look like what he looked like in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This graphic style will make the scenery more of an anime/manga type of art rather than color paint.

The game will be fully orchestrated like Skyward Sword and the Super Mario Galaxy series.
