Story[]
Thousands of years ago, there were three goddesses - Naryu, the goddess of wisdom, Farore, the goddess of courage and Din, the goddess of power. Together, the three created the land of Hyrule and structured the Triforce, a wish-granting relic.
To this day, Hyrule is under threat. Most of the once-peaceful species have gone savage, and a man named Ganon is trying to abuse the powers of the Triforce. Consequently, Farore creates a magic glove which falls in the hands of a boy named Link.
Link hears Farore's voice, stating that she has chosen him as the hero to save Hyrule from "many great evils".
Gameplay[]
Throughout the game, the player moves Link with the Circle Pad and uses A to interact with NPCs. Press B to use your sword, R to use your shield and L for "L-targeting", used to lock onto enemies and aim projectile attacks. Miscallenous items can be assigned to X and Y.
Being open-world, there are all manner of things that the player can do throughout the game. Examples include aiding Princess Zelda in defeating Ganon, joining a war against a rivalling kingdom or simply travelling Hyrule and exploring its landmarks.
