Teva Tanimoto is one of the characters of the fighting game, Heirs to the Wrath. He appears as a new character in the DLC, Super Ultra Arcade Edition.
Teva is a Heirs, meaning that he has the ability to transform himself into a Deity, Kāmohoaliʻi, Shark God of the Hawaiian Mythology.
He is a crazy kid. Full of energy and malice, he’s often in trouble but always gets out deftly of the mess he created in the first place.
Teva is too young to join the Primordial Program as an operational member but, since he was saved from the Eighth Seal HQ, he hopes stubbornly that soon he will join them and save the world against the evil cult.
Story[]
Before Heirs to the Wrath[]
Teva was born on Kauai where he lived most of his life. Raised in a isolated beach house with his loving parents. Teva soon discovered his Heir power and had the biggest fun with them, transforming himself into all kind of fish and swimming all day. Of course, his favorite transformation was the shark which he used to scare people and swimming fast into the deep of the sea.
Teva had a revelation the day he saw the Primordial Program fighting against the Eighth Seal on the TV news. The Heirs members of the Program was seen as super heroes at the time and Teva wanted to be part of this cool team. Unfortunately, he was judged too young to join the force but he received help from the Program to control and perfect his power.
Heirs to the Wrath - Story Mode[]

Teva is only seen at the end of the original Story Mode as he is freed from the Eighth Seal HQ.
During the Story Mode, Teva was kidnapped by the Eighth Seal, as they found him on his island. He was then confined in the Eight Seal HQ where he was supposed to be sacrificed to nourish the power of Qingyun, like many other imprisoned Heirs.

Since, his liberation from the Eighth Seal and since the Heirs, even from the Primordial Program, have been seen as a threat for humanity. Teva joined the now secret Primordial Program, not as a member but as a mentee and with his parents' agreement.
Of course, in Teva's mind, he already is a member and can now fight with them to save humanity! Unfortunately for him, one person doesn't like his eagerness, Lou a real member of the Primordial Program. Since then, a friendly rivalry appeared between this two kids.
Teva's excitation can make his power quite unstable and this is what happened during the Primordial Program break but finally he was tamed by Amina, Lou and Leïla.
Power and Ability[]
Compared to other Heirs, Teva has great stats in Speed and Range making him a good fighter in a rushdown strategy but his very poor Health makes him vulnerable to counterattacks. As a practitioner of Lucha Libre, Teva can execute rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, as well as high-flying maneuvers.
Deity Transformation[]
In his Deity form, Kāmohoaliʻi, Teva becomes a "wereshark" gaining biting offensives, he gains as well a lot of strength making him a real threat. As he summons the sea, he gains various moves related to waves and fishes.
He is one of the only fighter to have an ability only available in Titan form. Using the Titan form, Teva can cancel almost every of his attacks to chain with another combo giving the chance to skip all recovery time after an attack. As a Titan, this ability makes him the faster fighter in the game.
Wrath Moves[]
- EPIC BBQ TSUNAMI: Teva starts a powerful grap where he chains multiple and brutal wrestling techniques as well as transforming himself in different fishes to maximise the force and the lock of his attacks. This move performance depends on the player’s reflex has they have to respond to a series of five QTE (Quick Time Events) if they miss one, the move is cancelled.
- MAUNA LOA: Teva summons fives geysers that spring from the ground around him. If the opponent is taken by one of this geyser, he will receive heavy damages and will get astonished.
- THE 400 BLOWS: He can only perform this Wrath Move with the help of Lou. The opponent is surrounded by an army of forest and ocean animals from deer, rabbits, bears to sharks, whales and jellyfish invoked by Lou and Teva. The two kids stand with pride, both of them look at each other smile and command their army to attack the opponent who then sees multiple animals jump on him and throw him all around the stage.
