Synopsis[]

My 600 Pound Life game is obviously based on the hit TLC reality show of the same name. The player plays as an assistant doctor and surgeon in the game.

Throughout the game, the player works alongside medical staff from the TV show, so they can treat various morbidly obese patients. There are many different patients to treat, from slightly overweight young adults to morbidly obese mid aged adults.

The player, as an assistant doctor and surgeon, works alongside the in game doctor(s) to treat the selected patient. Before they start treating each patient, the player is presented with a video of the patient’s daily life to see what obesity effects and symptoms are present.

The player must also put the patient through testing, like blood tests, physicals, weight screenings, psychotherapy, urine screenings, and perhaps some other screenings, like reviewing the patients previous medical history.

  • This is TLC’s very first Nintendo Switch game, and its most popular one as well. On the day that the “My 600 Pound Life” game was released in Australia, over 1,000 copies were sold in game shops from Perth to Sydney.
