It takes place in the Nowhere Islands (Mother 3/Earthbound 2). Richard, who lives in the town of Enchantia, is going to his friend Elina's house. The entire house had been laced with technology, which Elina's father, Benjamin, had "purchased" off Porky Minch's father.
