This article is part of the Medieverse. Surely you're not looking for the original Syi?
Syi is a character in the Medieverse who takes a major role in the story.
The origins of Syi are quite ambiguous. She was made like an ordinary scarecrow, and suddenly was given life during the most dire month of a miller, when crows were destroying all the crops, Syi saved him and his family. It is possible that Aurora was the one who did this. Syi became good friends with the miller's daughter, Crow, and seemed to like her more than a friend, but when her feelings were rejected she left the fields.
Syi is still a very confused being, as she isn't supposed to be alive. She hides her true feelings and emotions from others, refusing to say anything, but also doesn't hide behind a happy facade. She can be a bit negative, and then just asks if she can be left alone. She is hesitant to say certain things which mostly end up in her regretting it. She finds it hard that she doesn't have a purpose in life except for protecting the crops of a man who doesn't seem to like her, which makes her quite depressed.
The natural ability of being able to scare crows away is a natural gift for Syi. However when she was brought to life, it seemed like some magic began lingering inside of her empty vessel, the magic to cure things, although minor.
