Super Smash Bros 5. Tsunami is the 5th instalment in the Smash Bros series. It was developed by Nintendo, Capcom and Sega with some help from Hals Labratory, Game Freak and Namco.
Gameplay[]
The game remains mostly the same to the previous installments, but like other game, Super Smash Bros K2, the player is required to fill up a bar, a "Smash Bar" if you will, by beating up the other players/CPU's, to perform said Final Smashes. And like in Wii U, the player limit is up to 8 players in Twister Mode. However, in Online mode, it's 6.
Finally, players now have another way of fighting with it's system's, the Nintendo NX, new "E" button, which allows the player to increase their speed, attack or jump, which is somewhat like former playable character Shulk's Down Special in SSB4. Overall there are only some differences from the previous installments, but enough to make the game it's own game.
Modes[]
Tsunami Mode[]
Based off the previous regular fighting modes, such as Brawl in SSBB, Tsunami Mode is the main mode in the game, where 1-4 players fight in a battle. There are also different options on how the battle goes, including the previous Stock, Coin and Time battles, but there is a new option based of the mini game from Kirby Super Star; Gourmet Race.
In Food Fight options is somewhat like the Coin battles as the player who eats the most food wins, but when the opponent is knocked off, they will not lose their lunch, no instead the food will get moldy/stale and will be worth less points.
Twister Mode[]
Much like the 8 Player mode in Super Smash Bros 4 Wii U, the player limit is up to 8. In this mode, all options from Tsunami Mode are available, yet it can be somewhat insane. Now, all stages have a large mode, and some will even have actual stage hazzards.
In Twister Mode, a new option is added based off the Tourney mode in some of the previous installments. In this, 8 players battle it out to see who is the strongest player. The smashers who were used may get stronger or weaker depending on their rank in the tournament.
Training Mode[]
Basically nothing has changed from the previous Training Modes. You can use items, "fight" against a dummy of a smasher of your choosing, make it do different stuff and increase the power, health or speed of the characters. Also, you are allowed to fight against a Master Hand dummy in this version of the Training Mode.
Ocean of Fighters[]
Based on All Star Mode, this is where 1-2 players fight all the smashers(That they have unlocked) in the order that they were created. Each of the opponents is set on Level 5. After beating this mode once, the player(s) is free to customize the difficulty of this mode. At the final stage, the player(s) will fight Master Hand, along with Crazy Hand if the Level is higher then 7.
Another part of this mode is known as Rivals. Each character has a rival.

Rivals[]
In the mode: Ocean of Fighters, the character(s in Multiplayer) have a rival that they will fight on the second last level, where your rival will be two levels higher then the set level, except if you are on Level 9, as that is the highest level. Rivals are based on similarities between the two characters(Ex: Mario and Link are both Nintendo's most famous heroes who save damsels).
