Super Smash Bros. Zenith, known in Japan as 大乱闘スマッシュブラザーズクライマックス Dairantou Smash Brothers Climax is another game in the Super Smash Bros. franchise. It is developed by APIM Group Inc's successor, Alpha Eagle Ltd, and it will be released for the Wii U.
The game attempts to be a "definite" Super Smash Bros. game, so the game has over 70 playable characters (excluding DLC). There will also be over 50 stages. Moreover, this game will feature Stamps, which can be used in Miiverse drawings. This Stamp feature has been used earlier in games like Super Mario 3D World and NES Remix.
Game Modes
Smash Modes
This is the main event. Here, players can pit themselves against others and just have fun.
- Regular Smash: Have a single match, where you can pre-customize just about everything: what characters are fighting, who's fighting as who, the stage, the items, whether Time or Stock mode, etcetera.
- Special Smash: Special Smash has even more custom rules than Regular Smash. Players can turn every character Metal, or make them tiny. They can also alter the camera a bit, or set the damage meter to 300%.
- 8-Player Smash: Similar to Regular Smash, except you can have up to eight players at once instead of four. Your choice concerning stages is limited, though.
- Tournament: Set up a tournament of matches, in a bracket-style fashion. Players who lost can no longer participate, while players that won will advance to the next bracket.
Online Modes
This is like Smash Modes, but is set online, where people over the entire world can be pit against each other. Players can battle With Anyone or With Friends.
- Smash: Play against Anyone or Friends with set rules. Battling against Anyone ensures the player cannot use their Custom move set nor their own Mii Fighter.
- For Fun: Players will battle on any stage with Items on.
- For Glory: Players will battle on Omega versions of stages with Items set off. An Omega Stage is a stage altered in a way so it plays like on Final Destination, but visually resembles the original stage.
- Spectator: A mode that is a bit like horse races. Bet on a character, and if said character wins, the player wins a bunch of Gold. If said character loses, the player will lose gold.
Solo Modes
Solo Modes are modes that are usually played alone, but sometimes can be played with a friend.
Classic
Classic Mode is where the player chooses a character and partakes in seven different battles in a predetermined order, as well as two minigame challenges (One is either Target Smash or Target Blast, the other is completely random), a fight against Metal Mario, another fight against a Fighting Mii Team, and a last fight against Master Hand (and Crazy Hand, depending on the difficulty setting).
The player is allowed to play in either Straight Classic (the regular Classic Mode as seen in SSB64, Melee and Brawl) or Multipath Classic (where the player can choose between three paths after each battle). While Straight Classic and Multipath Classic don't matter concerning regular rewards, Multipath allows the player to get more Gold and challenge Master Core. Players will also get a different trophy for clearing Multipath Classic.
When the player successfully defeated Master Hand, they will receive a Trophy based on the character they played as, as well as a Stamp depicting that same character.
All-Star
All-Star Mode is unlockable again, where the player fights all the characters in their current roster in a specific order, namely in the order of their debut date in descending order (from new to old). The player's damage meter will not reset after each fight, and instead has to heal themself with a limited amount of healing items (which should be used wisely). The last fight is against a difficult Mr. Game & Watch team, referring to Melee's All-Star mode.
The player can also choose to play Random All-Star, where they need to battle characters in a random order, in sets of 1, 2, 3, and 4, similar to Melee's All-Star. Similar to Regular All-Star, the last fight is against a difficult team, but it's rather against a team of Sonic, Mega Man, Pac-Man or Rayman.
Successfully defeating all challengers rewards the player with a trophy depicting their character in their Final Smash. They will also get a Stamp that also depicts their character in a Final Smash.
Training
Training Mode is where players can test out the moves of every single character against an opponent they can fully customize their AI with. Players can also add in as many specific kinds of items they please, they can determine the speed of the game, and they can even reset everything. Attack combos will also be counted.
Event Matches

Event Matches are a collection of set Smash matches with different objectives. Some Event Matches have special rewards when done under certain circumstances, and sometimes, certain character should've been unlocked to unlock more Event Matches. Beating them all also gives players a reward.
Minigames
These games are just little fun challenges. Some of them are also found in Classic.
- Multiman Smash: Battle a certain amount of opponents in different styles.
- Homerun Contest: Get and smash Sandbag as far as you can.
- Target Smash: Break all the targets using the skills of each character.
- Target Blast: Break as much targets as you can... and your sole way to do that is by smashing a heavy bomb that explodes in ten seconds.
- Trophy Rush: Get as much trophies as you can within a certain time limit.
- Boss Smash: Defeat large enemies in a random order.
- Special Orders: Choose a random battle and win in order to get goodies.
- Master Orders: Choose your battle and get your reward immediately after you win.
- Crazy Orders: Wager Gold and participate in a series of battles and get great rewards... but only after you defeat Crazy Hand!
Vault
The Vault is where players can take a break from Smashing and check all the things they have collected
Trophies

Trophies are figurines of characters, stages and items that either appear in Smash Bros. Zenith or are related to the fighters and series featured in the game. Most of the time, they can be received randomly by playing Solo modes or Minigames, but they can also be bought in the Shop. Some Trophies can only be received by clearing a Challenge.
- Trophy Shop: This is where you can buy Trophies with the Gold that is earned.
- Trophy Hoard: This is where you can view all your Trophies together.
- Trophy Showcase: This is where you can view certain Trophies in themed display cases.
- Trophy Photoshoot: This is where you can place up to four trophies in any way you like and take a picture of it.
Stamps

This is where you can view your Stamps. Like Trophies, they can be earned randomly by playing Solo modes. Here, you can also post a message on Miiverse easily.
Music

| Fox McCloud from Star Fox returns, with all the gadgets he's known for. As expected, this vulpine is quick and hardhitting.

| Fast and agile, this popular Mouse Pokémon got an arsenal of literally shocking attacks with electrifying power.

|
| Mario's archnemesis, who's always looking for kidnapping Peach. Really slow, but also very heavy and powerful.

| This lady is the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, and the victim of Bowser's schemes. She seems more supportive than offensive.

|
|
| The elegant princess of Hyrule. Though often abducted, she proves herself powerful with her usage of magic.

| Zelda's alter ego, named after the Sheikah. Sheik is much swifter and more ninja-like than her royal persona.

| A small boy (or girl) that lives in a village full of animals. His attacks are actually very mundane actions.

| An oddly-colored exercising trainer that helps Miis become fit. All her moves are yoga moves and fitness exercises.

| A rather short boxer from the Bronx, and also a WVBA champ. He's a powerful guy on the ground... but not so in mid-air.

| Goddess of light and Pit's mentor (of sorts). Her status as a deity can easily be seen back in her powerful attacks.

| An either male or female Tactician, that can use tomes of various elements and the thunderbolt-shaped Levin Sword.

| Shulk is a Hom that is able to wield the sacred Monado. With this blade, he can foresee attacks and switch between arts.

Marshal
|
|
|
|
|
| This little guy comes from the sky-high Rhythm Heaven. All his attacks are based on the wonky things from this place.

|
|
Monita
|
|
|
|
|
| A robotic hostess and guide of the Nintendo Land theme park. Her moves seem to be based on the attractions of Nintendo Land.
|
|
|
|
|
| A humanoid creature which can turn into a squid and spray ink everywhere. A game of smash will turn into a paintball match!
|
|
|
|
|
| The fastest hedgehog around Mobius, plus has a teen 'tude. While he's not that resisting, his speed just cannot be matched.

| A janitorial android turned into a world-saving machine. All his abilities in Smash have been copied from other Robot Masters.

| Even you can join in! Miis can be customized all you like. There are even three classes: Mii Brawler, Mii Swordsman, and Mii Gunner.

| The summoned Beedrill will sometimes Mega Evolve, and will use Fell Stinger right after the swarm's attacks as the finishing blow.
|
|
|
|
|
| This Scratch Cat Pokémon will use Pay Day to attack nearby opponents with a barrage of coins that are completely unusable.
|
|
|
|
|
| Magikarp is infamous for its uselessness. It will simply Splash around all the time, doing absolutely nothing else.
|

|
| As soon as Porygon is released, it goes for a straight, powerful Take Down to the nearest opponent.
|
|
|
|
|
| Mew sits in a bubble and flies away, but not before leaving a present behind, like a Trophy or CD. Mew is an extremely rare sight.
|

|
|
|
| This comical-looking Pokémon walks around the stage. If an attack hits it, it uses Counter with twice the power.
|
|
|
|
|
| This lady-like Pokémon forms a bubble that will Reflect projectiles and ranged attacks from opposing fighters.
|
|
|
|
|
| Sometimes, Gardevoir will Mega Evolve, and will fire a Moonblast towards an opponent aside from using Reflect alone.
|
|
|
|
|
| Unleashing Poison Gas from its tail, Stunky attacks all opponents in a radius. They won't flinch, but they will receive.
|
|
|
|
|
| Gothitelle uses Telekinesis on one of its opponents and sending him upwards. The opponent has to move around to free himself.
|
|
|
|
|
| Spewpa won't get into anyone's business, but if anyone attacks it, it's forced to release a damaging Stun Spore.
|
Assist Trophy Characters
|
|
|
|
| Luigi's ultimate rival. He stomps his opponents into the ground and then smacks them with his tennis racket.
|
|
|
|
|
| Starmen are mercenaries hired by Giygas to eliminate Ness and co. This one teleports around and uses varieties of PK Fire.

Stages

|
|
|
|
| A simple stage floating in the sky. Nothing much is here, except for three other platforms. Based on its latest iteration.
|
|
|
|
|
| A simpler stage, but with an epic backdrop. This is where you usually fight Master Hand. Based on Melee's version.
|
|
|
|
|
| An autoscrolling stage that shows off the wonders of Super Mario 3D Land. Each section has different obstacles.
|
|
|
|
|
| This electric dream of a Mario Kart course also appears in this game. Antigravity plays an important role here.
|
|
|
|
|
| You're inside a cave with Mole Miners transporting bananas. Beware of the Squeeklies - someone disturbed their sleep.
|
|
|
|
|
| A large stage with mostly no gimmicks, other than a bunch of walls and floors. Play this stage and have a good time!
|
|
|
|
|
| A stage that takes place on the to of the Silph, Co. building in Saffron City. Pokémon might pop out the door.
|
|
|
|
|
| It's time for a Contest Spectacular! Appeal to the audience, and if you excite them enough, you get a free Final Smash!
|
|
|
|
|
| Play in a pinball machine full of Pokémon! This stage comes in a Red & Blue variant, as well as a Ruby & Sapphire one.
|
Unlockable
|
|
|
|
| A bizarre cavern covered in metallic crystals. Stalactites of the same substance might fall. This is Metal Mario's stage.
|
|
|
|
|
| This stage scrolls trough Subspace and ends at Tabuu's residence. For the rest, it's like Final Destination.
|
|
|
|
|
| Bowser's theme park, which Bowser let the Sprixies make by force. The stage will take the fighters to different attractions.
|
|
|
|
|
| This stage is crazy! First, you fight on Arwings. Then, on a slot machine. And third, on... letters spelling "The End"?
|
|
|
|
|
| This is the cave where Mewtwo resides. The characters will fight in the deepest part on some sort of bare islet.

|
|
| Team Plasma has built N's Castle around the Unova League. Stairs may expand the stage, and Reshiram or Zekrom may pop up.

|
| This Flat Zone is based on the Game & Watch titles Greenhouse and Vermin. Watch out for the moles and bugs!

|
|
|
| The original Flat Zone. Its primary influence is the Game & Watch game Helmet, but also references Manhole and Oil Panic.

|
| This stage is based on a temple-like city from an ancient civilization in the Shake Dimension. There's bound to be treasure here!

| This stage has red and blue pillars that raise and lower at random. There are also these bird-like Smicks wandering around.

|
|
|
|
| It's the classic Duck Hunt screen, but no longer 8-bit. This time, you can ride on clay pigeons... yeah, sounds weird.

|
| ...All right, who found it a funny idea to Smash in a clothing store? These clothes may be stylish, but they slow you down quite.
|
|
|
|
|
| This stage alters slightly every time it's picked. Be wary of the hills and the mud pools. Oh, and obviously, the racers.

| This stage is based on the iconic Tetris screen. Don't get squished by the Tetriminos, or you'll take serious damage!
|
|
|
|
|
| This stage was Pac-Man's debut, so it's of course 8-bit. Gobble up a Power Pellet and damage the foes without attacking them!

|
| This is Rayman's whimsical world. Sometimes, the Magician will warp the players to a different location in the Glade.
