Franchise History[]

"Paper Mario" is a spin-off series of Super Mario by Nintendo. the main protagonist is Paper Mario, the paper version of Mario. He's basically the same as Mario and fights Paper Bowser alongside Paper Luigi. He has to save Paper Princess Peach (That's a tongue full) and save the Paper Toads.

What's drawn fans into this series is the feel-good kind of soft Kirby-like atmosphere. The characters and their speech make the series feel soft and totally enjoyable after a rough day. But enough of that. It's an RPG Series similar to Mario & Luigi, or Super Mario RPG. It follows Paper Mario saving Paper Peach. There are submissions in the first two games, and with a new game, The Origami King.

Challenger Pack[]

Content is available in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate x Paper Mario Bundle. In the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Challenger Pack, (Stand alone costs $7.99 USD.) he will be playable on release date.

Fighter #89: Paper Mario[]

Paper Mario is a character from Super Smash Bros. Downloadable Content. He originates from Paper Mario (series).

His appearance looks like it's from Paper Mario: Color Splash. But, if his damage is over 50% (under 80 in stock) He will slouch like he does in game, and he will be crumpled a little.

He is also the main character of Paper Mario (series) making it into every game, He is the main protagonist and hero of the series. He is the paper version of Mario, and he is an person who lives in the Paper Mushroom Kingdom.

In Smash, Paper Mario is classified as the lightest fighter, and can be easily launched.

Moveset[]

  • Paper Mario has a meter called the "Paper Punch-out" when filled by fighting or getting hit, Paper Mario will do the unknown long origami arm from The Origami King, and will punch the closest person.
  • To crawl, Paper Mario folds himself and walks.
  • Paper Mario has 3 Final Smashes, making him the character with the most final smashes.
Neutral B: Hammer Smack

Paper Mario takes out his hammer and smacks anyone who's close to him. He can knock up to 4 players with this move.

Depending on how much time you hold down the B Button, you can get more damage and range, and being able to get 6 players!

This move is from the Slap Hammer move from Sticker Star. Where Paper Mario knocks enemies around the screen.

Side B: Sidekick Side Smash

Paper Mario calls Goombette, she dashes and tramples anyone who's in her way. You can hit all players with this.

Koops also appears rarely and hits the players too, with more damage, so it's basically gambling everytime.

This move originated from the a move Koops does from Paper Mario (2000 game).

Up B: Kertsi Boost

Kertsi picks up Paper Mario and flys up into the air. It's really good for recovery and strategies for Online Play.

If you run into someone in the air, Kertsi will damage them! She is a crown after all, so that's gonna hurt.

This originates from Paper Mario: Sticker Star, when you need to Paperize something.

Down B: Paint Can Capture

Paper Mario uses Huey in a fashion like Mr. Game & Watch, but he can catch projectiles and throw them back.

If Paper Mario doesn't catch anything Huey will get mad, and will hit the nearest player, which is good for a tough enemy.

This originates from Paper Mario: Color Splash, where Mario uses Huey for some stuff.

Final Smash 1: 3D Annihilation

You need to jump into the air and use the final smash. Paper Mario will call one of the creatures from Super Paper Mario, and start flipping the stage up and down. He will then stop, lauching the fighters on the stage.

This originates from Super Paper Mario, where Paper Mario and co. have the ability to go from 2D to 3D.

Final Smash 2: Splash Hammer

You need to be on the ground and use the final smash. Paper Mario will take out a huge hammer, and will hit anyone within a 10 foot raidius, with a splash of paint afterwards.

This originated from Paper Mario: Color Splash, where Paper Mario can use a hammer that fills blank spots.

Final Smash 3: Paperize Toss

You need to be close to someone, and use the final smash. The grabbed player then goes into paperize mode with Paper Mario and Kertsi. Keep mashing the B button until you see "Excellent!" then, they will throw the enemy, and will sometimes K.O. them.

This originates from Paper Mario: Sticker Star, where paperize mode is used to stick things back together in Paper Mario's world.
