Super Smash Bros. Melee: Definite Edition is a virtual console re-release of the original game that was released for the Nintendo GameCube.
Differences from the original version
- All playable characters have six or more palette swaps, with some of their colors changed.
- Zelda and Sheik are now separate characters, meaning that their down specials have changed as well.
- Daisy is now playable.
- Up to six players can play in Vs. Mode.
- New event matches have been added.
- New trophies have been added to the collection, with most returning and some of them not.
- All past stages from the original N64 Super Smash Bros. game are playable.
- Audio has been remastered for a crisp hi-fi surround sound.
- Resolution has been remastered for up to a native 1080p high-definition look. Supported aspect ratios include 4:3 standard, 16:9 wide, 21:9 ultra wide, and 32:9 giga-wide.
- Additional audio tracks have been added, plus you can customize the background music for a stage you play at.
