Battlefield is a stage spanning many Super Smash Bros. titles, starting from Super Smash Bros. as a non-playable stage where characters would fight the Fighting Polygon Team in Classic Mode. Battlefield is a flat stage with three platforms suspended above it. Battlefield's design changed ever single subsequent Super Smash Bros. game, with this one having an all-new design, seemingly taking place in a forest. This stage is where you fight the silhouettes of Mario, Kirby, Pikachu and Link.

Metal Cavern (also known as Meta Crystal) is a stage that only appears in Super Smash Bros., under the name "Meta Crystal", as a non-playable stage where characters would fight Metal Mario in Classic Mode before facing Master Hand and Crazy Hand themselves. Metal Cavern consists of a small, uneven main platform and a floating platform above it. Metal Mario is fought here in Classic Mode and The Smash Arena.

Battlefield from Super Smash Bros. is an unlockable stage that is a recreation of the Battlefield seen in the first Super Smash Bros. game, which was a non-playable stage in said game where characters would have to fight the Fighting Polygon Team. Battlefield is similar to its 64 variant, albeit it acts like its Melee variant, with ledges being hard to grab.

New Donk City is a starter stage in Super Smash Bros. Calamity, where it is a homage to Metro Kingdom from Super Mario Odyssey. New Donk City is a flat stage akin to the Onett stage seen in Super Smash Bros. Melee, with differences being the houses are removed and there is a building on the left side of the stage, making it impossible to K.O opponents to the left blast line. This stage is banned from tournaments because of this.

Bowser's Castle is a new stage introduced in Super Smash Bros. Calamity and is based off of Bowser's Castle from the Super Mario series. Bowser's Castle consists of two platforms and one, small floating platform, all of them which are suspended over lava, which damages opponents. Occasionally, a Thwomp will come crashing down and deal high knockback to opponents it touches.

Starship Mario (also known as Galaxy Tours) is a new stage introduced in Super Smash Bros. Calamity and is based off of Starship Mario, the main hub world of Super Mario Galaxy 2. Starship Mario is the main form of the stage, and switches to either Freezeflame Galaxy, Good Egg Galaxy or Toy Time Galaxy. In the scenery, different kinds of Lumas can be seen.

Inside Bowletta is a new stage introduced in Super Smash Bros. Calamity and is based off of the final battle arena from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, which takes place in Bowletta's belly. The entire stage is flat similar to New Donk City. Cackletta's Soul occasionally will appear, doing her arm spin attack move or freezing the entire screen to fire laser eyes.

The game is an online level maker game, where you can make your own levels in the style of any Super Mario game of your choice and post them online.
