Super Maryu 64 is a sequel that continues the story of Super Mario 64, Sunshine and Odyssey and is set many years after the events of those games.

Story

The game begins with a letter from Princess Peach inviting Mario to come to her castle for a cake she has baked for him. When he arrives, Mario discovers that Bowser has invaded the castle and imprisoned the princess and her servants, so Mario heads off to Bowsers Castle. After a long Journey, Mario arives at Bowsers Castle and confrontates Bowser in an epic battle.

After Mario defeats Bowser in the final battle it's revaled that the "Bowser" Mario just fought was actually just an Illusion created by Von Kaiser. Von Kaiser has teamed up with Satan and Kidnapped Princess Peach, Bowser and all of the famous Mario Characters like Sonic, Link and Solaire of Astora. Because Mario knows, has no chance against opponents as utterly powerful mighty as Satan and Von Kaiser he escapes the Castle and heads Back to the Mushroom Palace.

Arriving back at the Mushroom Castle, Mario has developed the perfect plan to stopping Von Kaiser and Satan and freeing his friends. He heads into the dephts of the Mushroom Castle dungeons, where the most dangerous Criminals of the Mushroom Kingdom are held. Deep inside the Dungeon the horrible, infamous criminal Ryu is held.

After the events of Super Mario 64 Ryu has stolen the Cake princess peach baked for Mario. It took an army of the most powerful warriors from the Mushroom Kingdom to capture Ryu and take him into the Mushroom Palace Dungeons. Many people lost their lives in the battle.

In fear Mario remembers back at the battle against Ryu. When arriving at his cell, Ryu charges at Mario but the steel bars of his cell prevented him from reaching Mario. With a long stick Mario takes a hair from Ryus head and quickly runs away with it.

With the Hair of Ryu mario hedads into his secret genetics research lab deep underneath the Mushroom Palace. He carefully extracts the DNA from Ryus hair. Afterwards Mario inserts Ryus DNA into his genetics fusion machine and programs it to fuse his own DNA with Ryus DNA. "Now i will show you, Von Kaiser and Satan" Mario yells as he enters the Machine. He presses the button and the fusion begins.

A few hours later, the door opens and Maryu stepps out of the Machine. He has grown giant muscles and learned several of Ryus signature abilities like Punching and Kicking. Both of which are rare abilities in the mushroom Kingdom. "Super Mario is dead!!!" Maryu yelled, "It'sa me! Maryu!!!"

With his new powers and the determination to take revenge on Von Kaiser and Satan, Maryu beginns his journey to save his friends.

Super Mario	Marios standard form before becoming Super Maryu. In this form he can only damage opponents by stomping onto them. When getting hit in this form, Mario will shrink or lose his powerup and when he gets hit again after shrinking, he will instantly die. Ryu	The DNA sample in the game, taken from the most Infamous Criminal in the entirety of the Mushroom Kingdom: Ryu. This DNA sample transforms Mario into Super Maryu. In this Form Maryu gains a healthbar at the top of the screen. Instead of shrinking upon getting hit, Maryu now loses health depending on the power of the enemies attack. Furthermore Maryu now has a Punch and a Kick attack and can launch a Hadoken with the right button combination besides his stomp and his Powerups This DNA sample replaces Marios body with Ryus body. Solaire of Astora	Acquiring Solaires DNA sample grants Maryu the Ability to perform a Invincibilety roll, which is Vital for avoiding most of the games enemies and bosses attacks which can't be efficiently avoided otherwise. It also adds a Stamina bar underneath the health bar, that empties a bit everytime Maryu rolls and slowly recharges. Jumps or attacks do not drain stamina. If the Bar is empty, Maryu cannot roll. This DNA sample adds a small tabard to Maryus Body	Invincibility Dodgeroll
Sonic	Sonics DNA sample greatly increases Maryus movement speed, which is Vital for beating the games later enemies and bosses which are very fast. It also adds the Ability to spindash into enemies to quickly close gaps and replaces Maryus jump with a faster, higher spinjump. Maryu can now collect rings in the game world. Link	Links DNA sample grants Super Maryu a Master Sword. Maryu can now perform a horizontal slash, a stab, an overhead slash, a jumping slash, a spin slash and parry and ripost certain enemies attacks. Maryu can now collect Rupees. This DNA sample also grants Maryu access to multiple powerups including a Bow, Bomb, Boomerang, Hookshot, fairy in a bottle and the Skull Hammer, the second most powerful weapon in the game. Unlike in the OG games, all of these powerups are only temporary. This DNA sample grants Maryu a sword arm holding a Master Sword. Mega Man	Megamans DNA sample enables Maryu to perform a long range attack by shooting lemons from his arm blaster. This DNA sample also grants Maryu special powerups upon defeating the Robot Master Minibosses. This DNA sample grants Maryu an arm canon. Dan Hibiki	Dan Hibiki has been hired for 100₹ by Von Kaiser and Satan to trick Maryu into getting his DNA sample. He will pretend to be imprisoned in one of Von Kaiser and Satans castles and upon being "saved" by Super Maryu, he will offer him his DNA sample. If Maryu accepts Dans DNA sample, he will instantly lose all of his powers. His movement speed will be severely reduced, his Jump is now replaced with a very slow, short leap and his only attacks are a very slow, weak punch and a very slow, weak kick and a very slow, weak, short range Hadoken. When pressing the Jump, punch or kick button or inputting the Hadoken there is a 50% chance, maryu will just perform a long taunt instead. Furthermore Maryu will lose the ability to use any powerup. The game will now be softlocked, as it's humanly impossible to beat the game in this form. This DNA sample replaces Maryus body with Dan Hibikis body and removes all changes by other DNA samples. Mike Tyson	Collecting all 666 shards of the Champion Belt, which are scattered in hidden locations al trought the Mushroom Kingdom and returning them to Doc Louis will grant Maryu acess to the Dream Fight against Mike Tyson. This is by far the hardest fight in the game, as Mike Tyson can K.O. Maryu in one hit and his attacks are increadably fast and long ranged and he has the most health out of all bosses. If Maryu manages to defeat Mike Tyson, he will acknowledge Maryus strenght and skills and grant him his DNA sample. Mike Tysons DNA sample allows Maryu to rappidly unleashe insanely fast Uppercuts, which deal the highest damage in the game, can oneshot most opponents and absolutely OBLIVERATE any bosses in the game. Mike Tysons DNA sample is highly OP but requires extreme determination and pation to unlock. This DNA sample grows Maruy a muscular arm with a boxing glove on his back.	Mike Tyson Uppercut

Maryus Adventure

The default game mode

Maryu and Kenigi

In this multi player mode up to four Players can play as Maryu, Kenigi, Wazangief and Wadhalsimigi. If Maryu gains a DNA sample, all other team members get it too. There are more enemies and bosses have a lot more health depending on how many players are there. It is available in Couch Coop, Local play and Online. No Nintendo Switch Online Membership is required to play online. All platforms can play together.

Marios Adventure and Bossrush can be played in this mode too.

Boss Rush

This is mode unlocked after beating Maryus Adventure.

In Boss Rush mode you can chose any combination of all DNA samples previously unlocked in Maryus Adventure, but you have to chose Ryus DNA sample if you want to use any other DNA sample. Afterwards you have to beat all bosses eccept Mike Tyson in a row without being able to heal in between.

If you use Mike Tysons DNA sample, he will be the final boss of the boss rush. Otherwise he won't appear.

V.S. Battle

In this mode up to four players get 100 coins each and can buy any of the DNA samples previously unlocked in Maryus Adventure to create their unique version of Maryu, Kenigi, Wazangief or Wadhalsimigi.

Afterwards all players go into a Arena and have to fight each other.

In the Arena random powerups will spawn but only the players with the right DNA samples can use them. These can be disabled if the players chose so.

Mike Tysons DNA sample is unavailable, as it is too OP.

Marios Adventure

In this mode Mario doesn't take DNA samples and remains in default form. He now has Solaires Dodgeroll by defalt, but his only attack is jumping onto opponents and using his powerups. More powerups are found in this mode, as they are required to beat some enemies now.
