Super Mario Generations is an adventure 3D platformer featuring both Classic Mario and Modern Mario. It was developed by PAPERWARIOGAMES. It was released on December 6th 2011. Gameplay[]
Gameplay in SMG depends on which Mario you've picked Classic plays like NSMBW and Modern plays like SMG2 but with occasional 2D sections. Each World has Time keys certain amounts of Keys needed to progress. Keys can be earned by:
- Finding them in levels
- Get a Rainbow Mario Rank in levels
- Complete challenges
- Complete Super levels
Plot[]
SMGs plot is that after Peach is seen kidnapped in the past Classic Mario rushes off to the rescue to discover that Peach has been kidnapped by Timer a Shadow blob that controls time. The toads in a panic create a time machine to follow him. Meanwhile, Modern Mario discovers that peach has been captured again they rush through Mushroom Plains to discover that Timer kidnapped her. E. Gadd creates a time machine to follow him. The Marios meet each other at Shroom sewers. They team up and complete Mushroom Valley . After completing MV Wart confronts them Classic topples Wart and they move on to Ice land and Desert Land after that the Marios must take down Modern and Classic Bowser. The team almost rescue the princess but yet again Timer gets away with her. Modern and Classic Luigi report they saw Yoshi locked in a cage in another dimension. The Marios use E.Gadds time machine to go to the SNES era. After the team completes Dinosaur Land they rescue Yoshi who can now be rideable. Wario then confronts the team.Classic battles him and prevails. After that they complete Sarasaland and Halloween land.They then move on to Jungle Zone and Yoshi's island. They then fight Kamek and prevail. E. Gadd then announces that 5 time crystals are hidden across time and that they could help the bros. in their fight. Yoshi then announces that he spotted Koopa the Quick in another dimension. The team uses E.Gadd's time machine to go to the N64 era. After completing Bob-omb Battlefield and Whomp's Fortress and Bianco Hills they encounter Petey Piranha.Modern Defeats him.After that they move on to Pianta village. After that the team faces off with King Bob-omb and prevail. Then, Camera Lakitu says he sees Rosalina. The team moves on to the Modern Era where they complete Good Egg,Honey Hive,A mini boss with Bowser Jr., Flip Swap, and Fluffy Buff the team then faces off with Mega leg and prevails after that the team finally faces off with Timer and prevails. Both worlds are restored and the princesses are rescued and the Marios say farewell.
