AppearancesMario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games state and is now a biternal commercial estate modeled after Wimbledon High Street and Center Court, with a Chao garden replacing the branch of M&S Simply Food and the station representing the Station Square/Mystic Ruins train in Sonic Adventure; here, it goes underground. In Team Babylon's storyline, this train has suffered an attack, rendering it temporarily incapable, forcing them to take the long way round.
Station Square is the hub world of this game's Championship Mode. It features a Chao Garden, a shop owned by Cream the Rabbit, a hotel/restaurant, and Casinopolis, which now includes an arcade in which you can play minigames hosted by Carbuncle.
There are lots of references to Station Square in Sonic Time, such as Vello saying that he's going there, along with several stages taking place here (City Rush, Chaos Square, Crisis City (to an extent), Crisis Square, Metallic Rampage, and Presidential House).
In Sonic Heroes 2, both this zone and Metropolis - the two main shopping zones of Sonic Heroes - are both based very heavily on Wimbledon despite the author living two postal districts away from it in North Cheam; Station Square is based on Wimbledon High Street and Metropolis is based on Merton High Street - with the large Sainsbury's/M&S being 'chucked out' and converted into a Chao garden.
