Sonic and the Kaiju School is a video game, loosely based on the film of the same name. The game was released in Japan in May 2011 and worldwide in early 2012.

Gameplay[]

Sonic and the Kaiju School is intended mainly for children and is based on the movie Sonic and the Kaiju School. Players initially control Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream, Big, Shadow, Rouge, Espio, Charmy and Vector, who differs from the movie in that they possesses a basic level of speed, flight and power skills from the beginning.

After collecting a number of gems at the end of each level, the player has the option to buy upgrades to Sonic and the others' moves and health, as well as a different set of new outfits. Eventually, as the player progresses through the game, they'll be able to unlock other characters, including Gia and the Kaiju Girls (a team of players each with their own skill styles and minigames).

Multiplayer[]

The game also includes a multiplayer mode with new levels and characters. In addition, the game features new bosses, including the Viper-Hawks, Shark-Hyenas, Stag-Barracudas, and Swordfish-Monitor. The player can also collect galleries of the Kaiju Girls and rare gems and use them to unlock things at the Extras Menu.
