Sonic Sprinters is a racing platformer video game in the Sonic The Hedgehog series that takes the normal 3D Sonic gameplay and puts it in a racing style.

Gameplay

Gameplay is identical to various Sonic Games, the one being the most recognizable to is Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 and Sonic Lost World. While racing racers can attack enemies as well as each other. Like in other Sonic games, there will be checkpoints where a racer will respawn to if they were to fall or lose all their rings.

Every character has their own variety of moves. Some characters are faster while others are stronger. Special gimmicks and types of moves that the racers can use very depend of the character.

Each stage has a wide variety of options and pathways to get across, meaning there is more than one way to get to the finish line, the point is to find the route that fits the character best. There will be moments in the level where a bunch of enemies must be defeated before continuing, when that happens racers may meet up and (possibly) work together to defeat the enemies before they can get back to racing.

The main goal per level is to get to the finish line before everybody else.
