Sonic Adventure 3 is a game being released in 2016 to honor the 25th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog. The game follows the gameplay of the Sonic Adventure series and, to an extent, Sonic Lost World. The game will be availble exclusively to the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
Gameplay[]
Chatacters[]
Each character has a different gameplay and goal. Upon finishing each story, an alternate costume and alternate character is playable. Some characters will also unlock their Sonic Boom designs. Completing the game will unlock Super Forms.
Sonic the Hedgehog[]
The world's fastest thing alive, Sonic is up for another battle against Dr. Eggman. His gameplay is found to act like Sonic Lost World without the speed control. As with most games, his goal is to get to a goal ring at the end of the stage. He has the most stages available. His theme song is the SA2 version of It Doesn't Matter. His Boom design and Metal Sonic are unlockable. Metal's theme is a new Crush 40 remix of Look-Alike from Sonic: The Movie. Classic Sonic is available as DLC. Completing the game lets them transform into Super Sonic and Neo Metal Sonic.
Miles "Tails" Prower[]
Sonic's official sidekick and best friend is flying Sonic around an looking for other ways to help. Tails' gameplay is flying his tornado through obstacle courses similar to one level of Sonic Lost World. His tornado is smaller than in Sonic Lost World though. The tornado also now has cannons to shoot down enemies. His theme song is the SA2 version of Believe in Myself. His and the plane's design for Sonic Boom is also unlockable, as well as Dr. Eggman and his Eggmobile. Dr. Eggman's theme is E.G.G.M.A.N. Completing the game allows a turbo charged version to be playable.
Knuckles the Echidna[]
The independent guardian of the Master Emerald, he goes after a shattered version again to help save his duty. His gameply is similar to the other two Sonic Adventure games in both controls and goal, finding three treasures in each stage. His theme is the SA2 version of Unknown from M.E. His Boom Design is unlockable, although it only gives him the accessories without making him bigger, like to avoid change of gameplay. Rouge is also unlockable with the theme of Fly in the Freedom. Completing the game unlocks the return of Super Knuckles and the new Super Rouge. Tikal is also DLC with a new super form as well.
Amy Rose[]
Sonic's self-proclaimed girlfriend is on a mission to prove herself to Sonic by helping defeating Eggman. Her gameplay is similar to Sonic Adventure, with her goal being a hack and slash like game (similar to Dynasty Warriors) with a goal at the end. Her theme is My Sweet Passion.
Her Boom Design and Cream the Rabbit are unlockable, with a new theme for Cream called, The Best of Friends. Both have new super forms new to this game. Aime-Style Amy is DLC.
Shadow the Hedgehog[]
Sonic's arch-rival and an agent of G.U.N. is working to collect all seven Chaos Emeralds. His gameplay is similar to Sonic's, with a new shooting ability where he uses Chaos Spears to shoot down enemies (similar to E-102 Gamma in SA and Tails and Eggman in SA2). His goal to to destroy the target at the end of the stage (similar to Gamma). His theme is the Crush 40 vs. Magna-Fi remix of All Hail Shadow. His Boom design and Espio are unlockable. Espio's theme is from Team Chaotix. Completing the game unlocks Super Shadow and the new Super Espio.
Silver the Hedgehog[]
A time-travelling Hedgehog from the future, Silver has come back where he teams up with Blaze to stop a catastrophie. His gameplay is the same as Sonic's, with the addition that his levels are races. (Similar to Tails in SA and a reference to Sonic Rivals) His theme is the Starry Night version of Dreams of an Absolution. Completing the game unlocks Silver in the Racing Suit from Rivals and Blaze. Her theme is Raising Me Up and completing the game unlocks Super Silver and Burning Blaze.

Story[]
Sonic's Story[]
Sonic is shown relaxing in a chair on Green Hill, when he sees several animal friends fleeing out of the forest. He goes in to investigate. When he reaches the end, he finds Dr. Eggman in a giant machine that sucks up animals called the Egg Vacuum. After giving his two cents on the corniness of this bot, Sonic challenges it to a duel. After the robot is destroyed, it is revealed Eggman escaped at the last minute with all the animals. He states he has something big planned that requires a new army. Later at Bridge Zone, Tails is seen lying in the shade, when Sonic rushes in telling him Eggman is up to something. Tails tells Sonic that they should go to his lab to fire up the tornado. When they get there, they fire up the tornado and try to locate Eggman's base. A strange portal opens up causing some strange dragon to come out. Tails shoots it down, causing it to shrink to a dragon version of a Mobian and lands on the tornado wing. Sonic fights it and wins, where it shrinks to the size of a chao. A mechanical arm comes out of nowhere, from Eggman's eggmobile, with him sarcastically thanking Sonic for making catching it easier. He shoots down the Tornado causing it to fall into the Jungle. Sonic and Tails wake up to Knuckles trying to find the Master Emerald Shards. Tails asks Knuckles to find missing parts that fell nearby while Sonic looks for a way out of the jungle. Sonic races to find one and finds a temple and Eggman's base. Silver. He tells Sonic he wants to find Eggman himself for something he needs and won't let Sonic get in the way. After a little battle Sonic decides to fake running away. He goes back to Tails and Knuckles, who have fixed the tornado, and tells them of the good news on where Eggman's base is. Tails flies over head while Knuckles senses the emeralds in the temple and goes to find them. Sonic goes around Eggman's base looking for the entrance and finds the dragon from before, in its Mobian form, covered in Robotic limbs. After defeating it, the creature blows a hole in Eggman's base to excape, large enough for the Tornado. After exploring, they find Amy in the hangar. She tells them of how she's trying to stop Eggman's latest plan, and they witness a new Egg Carrier launching. The two hedgehogs jump on while Tails land his tornado there, as they are greeted by Knuckles who is also on the Egg Carrier. They fly over South Island as a loud speaker with Eggman's voice says, "Attention he four then went out with their plan, when Shadow comes demanding a fight. After winning the fight, Shadow leaves, allowing Sonic and Amy to finish his part of the plan. After getting the attention of Eggman, he sends the dragon from before, in a Minotaur form, and Sonic prevails. As the creature shrinks and tries to escape, it is sucked up into a new model of the Egg Dragoon. The Egg Carrier starts falling into the ocean, as Eggman challenges Sonic to one last fight. Sonic and Amy prevail and escape to the tornado. The four then fly away from the crashing Egg Carrier, finally completing their mission. With the job done, the four heroes celebrate.
Tails' Story[]
Tails has just finished his latest version of the tornado and takes it on a test drive around Green Hill. After a successful flight, Sonic comes up telling Tails Eggman has something big planned. The two jump on to the Tornado and fly towards Eggman's base. A strange portal opens up causing some strange dragon to come out. Tails shoots it down, causing it to shrink to a dragon version of a Mobian and lands on the tornado wing. Sonic fights it and wins, where it shrinks to the size of a chao. A mechanical arm comes out of nowhere, from Eggman's eggmobile, with him sarcastically thanking Sonic for making catching it easier. He shoots down the Tornado causing it to fall into the Jungle. Sonic and Tails wake up to Knuckles trying to find the Master Emerald Shards. Tails asks Knuckles to find missing parts that fell nearby while Sonic looks for a way out of the jungle. Knuckles comes back with the parts and Sonic comes back telling him he found Eggman's base. Sonic and Knuckles head off while Tails goes through the jungle. He sees Eggman's base and flies around trying to find an opening. Eggman appears in the Eggmobile and challenges him to a fight. Tails wins and Eggman leaves, as Tails hears a blast with Sonic nearby. The two go through the hole and Tails searches around. A defense bot finds him forcing Tails to have to fight it. After exploring, they find Amy in the hangar. She tells them of how she's trying to stop Eggman's latest plan, and they witness a new Egg Carrier launching. The two hedgehogs jump on while Tails land his tornado there, as they are greeted by Knuckles who is also on the Egg Carrier. They fly over South Island as a loud speaker with Eggman's voice says, "Attention South Island, behold, my third Egg Carrier. Powered by a Chaos Emerald, it will conquer the world." Tails comes up with a plan. Sonic and Amy would distract the forces, while he goes to steer the Egg Carrier towards the ocean. Knuckles meanwhile would search for the Chaos Emerald. The four then went out with their plan. Tails eventually finds the control room and steers the Egg Carrier towards the ocean. He gets back into the Tornado and flies around the Egg Carrier as it tries to shoot him. He is forced to shoot the weapons system and succeeds. He picks up Sonic, Amy and Knuckles, who have completed their jobs. The four then fly away from the crashing Egg Carrier, landing in Green Hill. With the job done, the four heroes celebrate.
Knuckles' Story[]
Knuckles is shown guarding the Master Emerald, when Eggman comes to use its power to awaken an ancient beast. He succeeds and to make sure it would stay that way, he shatters the Master Emerald. Knuckles then fights the Eggmobile as it leaves in smoke. Knuckles goes through Angel Island and Green Hill finding the Master Emerald shards. He finds them in the areas and then finds Eggman putting cybernetic parts on some creature. Knuckles tries to destroy the strange creature. While he wins, the creature just grows wings and flies away. Knuckles then finds Sonic and Tails in the jungle. Tails asks Knuckles to find missing parts that fell nearby while Sonic looks for a way out of the jungle. Knuckles goes around the jungle and finds all the parts. He returns them to Tails who fixes the Tornado. Knuckles then senses some more shards in a Temple far away. He runs toward it and finds them. An ancient Golem suddenly awakens after he finds the shards. Knuckles makes quick work of it and finds an incantation stating should the Master be broken, an echidna may warp to the other shards. Knuckles then warps to a new Egg Carrier and finds Sonic, Tails and Amy. They fly over South Island as a loud speaker with Eggman's voice says, "Attention South Island, behold, my third Egg Carrier. Powered by a Chaos Emerald, it will conquer the world." Tails comes up with a plan. Sonic and Amy would distract the forces, while he goes to steer the Egg Carrier towards the ocean. Knuckles meanwhile would search for the Chaos Emerald. Knuckles first tries to find the Emerald Shards to make sure they don't fall into the ocean. He finds them all, re creates the Master Emerald and shrinks it down to the size of a Chaos Emerald. Shadow is shown in the power room with the Chaos Emerald. He tells Knuckles he will keep the emerald for himself. After a little fight, Shadow escapes with the Emerald. Knuckles runs back to the tornado and gets on. The four fly away from the crashing Egg Carrier, landing in Green Hill. With the job done, the four heroes celebrate.
Amy's Story[]
Amy is seen walking through Bridge Zone, when she over hears Eggman telling Sonic about his plan. Sonic and Eggman flee the scene, as Amy decide to prove to Sonic she can stop Eggman as well to prove she deserves him. She turns around to find a bunch of robots. She eventually makes it through and finds Eggman's base. She walks in ready to trash any forces in her way. She finds herself inside the hangar, as Sonic and Tails come in. She tells them of how she's trying to stop Eggman's latest plan, and they witness a new Egg Carrier launching. The two hedgehogs jump on while Tails land his tornado there, as they are greeted by Knuckles who is also on the Egg Carrier. They fly over South Island as a loud speaker with Eggman's voice says, "Attention South Island, behold, my third Egg Carrier. Powered by a Chaos Emerald, it will conquer the world." Tails comes up with a plan. Sonic and Amy would distract the forces, while he goes to steer the Egg Carrier towards the ocean. Knuckles meanwhile would search for the Chaos Emerald. The two land in Green Hill and watch the Egg Carrier crash into the ocean. With the job done, the four heroes celebrate.
Shadow's Story[]
Shadow is shown walking through Green Hill when his wrist communicator gets a message from the G.U.N. commander. "Attention Shadow, a strange creature has come and we have a smaller version of the Eclipse Cannon to destroy it. Find the Chaos Emeralds and bring them to our secret base in Green Hill. Shadow holds up the Emerald he already has with him. He goes through Green Hill and finds one. He then uses Chaos Control to warp to the location of the next one. He's on Angel Island. He finds it and runs into Metal Sonic. The two have a little fight and Shadow succeeds. The robot copy of Sonic races for Green Hill. He finds he left a Chaos Emerald behind. He then warps to a deep Jungle and eventually finds the emerald there. He senses another in a nearby temple and searches for it. He finds the Emerald, but a Golem appears to try to stop him. He succeeds in destroying it, and walks out of the temple. He sees the Egg Carrier above him and hears a loud speaker with Eggman's voice say "Attention South Island, behold, my third Egg Carrier. Powered by a Chaos Emerald, it will conquer the world." Making his job easier, he warps up to the Egg Carrier using Chaos Control. He first sees Sonic and challenges him to a fight. He almost succeeds, but Sonic pulls one more homing attack on him. He eventually finds the power room with Knuckles. Needing the emerald himself, he stops Knuckles from getting the Emerald. He takes it as the Egg Carrier starts falling. He warps back to Green Hill Zone, to find one more emerald right below him. With his job done, he starts running back to find the base. A cannon appears with coordinates on the beast in a strange cell. He lets the beast free for his one shot and tries to weaken it to get a clear shot. He succeeds and fires at the beast. Instead it absorbes the power and grows to a colossus.
Silver's Story=[]
After the adventure with the Time Eater, Silver find his time destroyed by an ancient dragon known as the destroyer. The dragon fights Silver, who wins, and shrinks to a mobian form. It races Silver to a Chaos Emerald to gain power. The creature is invincible, but Silver uses Chaos Control to go back and time to try to find a way to fix this. He ends up in Green Hill, wondering where he ever found out how to use Chaos Control. A beam of light glows as Blaze appears. Recalling her from Sweet Mountain, she tells Silver that an ancient beast from the Sol Dimension has been sent to this world and she needs help to stop it. The two race to the Bridge Zone, where they find Eggman, who tells them he has succeded in awakening the destroyer, where it will appear somewhere in this dimension so he can capture it, so he can use it as a power source and warrior. He sends out Metal Sonic to distract the two. Silver defeats Metal with ease, causing it to race through Bridge Zone to the Jungle. Silver runs into Sonic, and tries to get to Eggman's lair before him. He wants answers from Eggman and tries to make sure that he won't stop his plan to question Eggman. Sonic runs away letting Silver do the work. Blaze then says if he wants answers he can just ask her. She says the destroyer was a normal mobian years ago. He tried to use the Sol Emeralds to gain power similar to the legendary burning figure, Burning Blaze. He was not the guardian of the Sol Emeralds, so they permanently transformed him into a beast who went insane and tried to destroy the Sol Dimension, but was defeated using the power of the Sol Emeralds. They couldn't destroy it, so they took some of its power and used a special cell for it. After finishing the story, Silver realizes he needs no more answers. Only to find the beast and find a way to stop it. Suddenly the Egg Carrier launches. The two wonder how to get there, which Silver easily picks both them up with telekinesis and takes them to the Carrier. The two find Metal Sonic, who races them to the brig of the Carrier. The two get their first and get the drop on Metal, causing him to be destroyed. The Egg Carrier starts falling into the ocean, so Silver carries him and Blaze away. They land on the ground near a destroyed Egg Dragoon, where the creature in its smallest form comes out as a minotaur creature. The two stop it as it tries to get its power back, Silver traps it using his Telekinesis, and traps it inside his Chaos Emerald. He thanks Blaze for helping him stop his devastating future. She leaves to her home dimension, as Silver uses Chaos Control to go home, and leaves the Emerald behind. When he gets back, he finds his future unchanged! He heads back to the past.
Last Story[]
All six heroes arrive to find the giant ready to destroy the island. All except Shadow wish they had the chaos emeralds, when Shadow pulls them out. It powers up the hedgehogs, Knuckles and the Tornado. The six each give it a separate fight, and succeed. The beast rises into the air and explodes. Silver uses Chaos Control to open a portal into the future and finds it is normal. The six heroes have their mission accomplish with the world safe.

Crossover[]
The first use is to unlock costumes for Sonic based on previous crossovers.
Mario/Dr. Mario amiibo: Gives a Mario costume to Sonic, a Luigi costume to Tails, a Peach costume to Amy and a Wario costume to Shadow.
Link/Toon Link amiibo: Gives a Link costume to Sonic, a Zelda costume to Amy and a Dark Link costume to Shadow.
Yoshi/Yarn Yoshi: Gives a Yoshi costume to each character with the same color.
Mega Man amiibo: Gives a Mega Man costume to Sonic, a Roll Costume to Amy, a Proto Man costume to Knuckles and a Bass costume to Shadow.
Remake[]
Upon using the Sonic amiibo, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 will be unlocked. The games are the same, although the cutscenes are slightly altered to avoid the constant interupting.
