Sneek is a somewhat common enemy found in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. These rats are the Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! equivalent to Neeks from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Gnawties of the original Donkey Kong Country.

Enemy Description[]

Sneeks appear to take on a more realistic and scarier look (as opposed to a Neek). Their approach to the Kongs has not changed much from the Neeks and Gnawties from the prior games, however, as they merely walk along the ground of the area they're on, making them predictable.

Despite having a non-threatening first impression when found normally, these mice actually have a much more important role in the game than ever before. Notably, they pose a threat to the animal buddy Ellie. If Ellie sees one, usually under a light, she will freak out and be forced to retreat out of fear, like in Murky Mill. In Squeals on Wheels, they appear to be running in mills to power the factory, and must be defeated to advance through the factory. In Stampede Sprint, Ellie gets terrified by three of them scaring her, and Ellie stampedes away, hence the level name.

In Donkey Kong Land III, they play the same role, but don't scare Ellie.

Trivia[]

  • For unknown reasons, in the GBA remake, they make the same squeaking sound as Neeks from the previous game instead of a different one from the original SNES version.
