Sandbags are objects in the Super Smash Bros. series, first appearing in Super Smash Bros. Melee. They originally appear in Melee's Home Run Contest, where the player's character must attack it to send it flying as far as they can, and return in the mode in future games as well as appearing in standard battles where they can drop items when hit.
In some Smash fan games, a Sandbag appears as a playable fighter, with said games usually describing its appearance as its personal payback against all the other fighters who have hit them around over the years.
