Ruby Glaes is a young girl capable of manipulating a mysterious force known as 'The Red'. So far she has only appeared in Ruby Tuesday, alongside her sisters and friends.

Personality

Ruby is a kind-hearted young girl who sees the best in people, and will do anything for those in need. Her trusting nature is the foundation of her outlook in life; that everybody deserves a chance, no matter what.

Ruby is also extremely energetic and outgoing, having rushed to an ancient temple to potentially gain powers after her friend Sky gained powers from a great crystal. Her curiosity and fearlessness are a dangerous mix that can get her in to trouble.

Appearance

Ruby is a fair skinned young girl with dark brown hair with red tips (barring her first appearance, which lacked said highlights) and green eyes. Her hair is shoulder length and is often left loose.

In her first appearance, she wears a long sleeved thick red blouse with black trim on the sleeves, and a darker red skirt with black trim. She also wears a pair of white sneakers.

History

Ruby Tuesday

After her friend Sky gains the power of Lapis, Ruby goes on an adventure to the nearby temple in the hopes of gaining crystal powers herself, where she obtains the power of the Red, which leads her on a quest to strengthen her powers in order to stop Ebony from destroying her hometown of Matisse.

At the end of this journey, Ruby discovers that she is a capacitor, and she uses this power to absorb the energy released by an Onyx crystal that has been weaponised by Ebony, before defeating Ebony and leaving Matisse to learn more about her powers.

World Tournament

Ruby appears in the World Tournament, losing to Netnu in the first round.

Powers and Abilities

After absorbing the power of the Red from a great crystal, Ruby gained the ability to project a red energy and create similarly coloured crystalline structures. Though initially using it offensively, she later discovers that the Red is more powerful when used defensively, such as creating shields and barriers or evading.

Later, Ruby discovers that she is a capacitor, meaning she has the potential to absorb the powers of more than one great crystal. She unknowingly uses this to absorb the detonation of a weaponised Great Onyx, enhancing the powers she already has and, presumably, allowing her to utilise the Onyx.
