First appearance | Animal Crossing: New Horizons Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Ver.3.1.2b |
Raymond is the first smug cat villager in the Animal Crossing series. He dresses like a white-collar businessman, and decorates his house like an office building.
Raymond quickly became a fan favorite after his debut in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. He was highly sought after in the game's unofficial villager exchange economy, to the point of receiving news coverage. A viral video clip featured Raymond changing into a maid dress in-game, so he is commonly depicted wearing one in fan art. Raymond has been compared to characters that have attracted similar fandoms, in aspects such as his dapper attire, hair color, heterochromia, and fanon gender nonconformity.
Physical appearance[]
Raymond is a subtly bluish gray cat with a small tuft of platinum blonde hair combed to his right. His tail, paws, and outer ears are black. He wears glasses and has heterochromia; his left eye is green and his right eye is brown. His default outfit is the waistcoat (gray), a gray vest over a white dress shirt with an indigo tie.
Personality[]
Raymond is a smug villager, who finds conversing with other villagers rather easy as he is polite and lively. He may also flirt with the player irregardless of gender. He may come off as conceited when talking to himself. His unseen hobby is dancing, and will be seen enjoying other activities.
