Rabbid Kong is a major character in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. As his name implies, he is heavily based on Donkey Kong, having an ape-like appearance and wearing his signature necktie. However, Rabbid Kong's posture and walk style are more comparable to a real-life gorilla than Donkey Kong's more cartoonish movements.
History[]
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle[]
Rabbid Kong debuts in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle as the end boss of Ancient Gardens, the first world in the game. He was created by Spawny after Bowser Jr. convinces him to join him, and he subsequently fights Mario and friends.
During his boss battle, Rabbid Kong will pound the ground to create a shockwave that causes the heroes to be bounced backward unless they are hiding behind cover. If he is attacked, then Rabbid Kong will eat a banana to restore any lost health. To defeat him, a hero or a Sentry must stand on the banana panel to make all the bananas disappear, causing Rabbid Kong to be distracted. If a hero is standing on the panel, he will pick them up and perform a strong attack against them (roaring in a non-Rabbid character's face and scratching his butt with a Rabbid character). During this time though, he can be attacked. Once all of his health is depleted, he will jump to another side of the arena and the process will start over. This must be repeated twice more to defeat him.

Rabbid Kong's introductory tagline.
Once defeated, Rabbid Kong will climb up a tower of blocks and attempts to make his last stand. Humorously, Rabbid Peach knocks the block tower over, causing Rabbid Kong to plummet to his defeat.
Donkey Kong Adventure[]
Rabbid Kong also appears as the main antagonist of the Donkey Kong Adventure story expansion for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Sometime during or after the events of the game, Rabbid Kong is seen near the Time Washing Machine with some Rabbids. They convince him to touch it, which ends up electrocuting him. In blind rage, he smashes the machine, causing it to short circuit. Nearby, Bowser Jr. and Spawny watch the events unfold, and using Spawny's powers, they cause the Time Washing Machine to suck up Rabbid Kong and the Rabbids, sending them to a different world.

Mega Rabbid Kong's first introductory tagline.
In this new world, his arrival through the Time Washing Machine causes the bananas to be corrupted into Bad Bananas. Finding out that these give him strength, he recruits several Rabbid minions to hunt for more bananas to convert into Bad Bananas. During this time, he finds Rabbid Peach, who also ended up in the jungle, and he gets revenge on her by pounding her into the ground. The other Rabbids try to take her, Donkey Kong, and Rabbid Cranky down while he leaves.
At the end of the game, Rabbid Kong is corrupted into his much larger alter-ego, Mega Rabbid Kong thanks to his consumption of Bad Bananas. He is battled twice in this form. During the first battle, he cannot be damaged and is immune to all attacks thanks to him draining from a health pool. Despite this, Mega Rabbid Kong can still be attacked directly as it will drain the pool, and the health pool itself can be attacked as well. He will attack by throwing a Bwananarang at a hero far away or approach a hero and throw a heavy uppercut. Once the health pool is completely drained, Mega Rabbid Kong escapes as the pool explodes.

Mega Rabbid Kong's second introductory tagline.
When Mega Rabbid Kong is encountered again, he is battled for the second time. In this battle, he has a large double-sided hammer made of Bad Bananas, which he can either use to create a whirlwind to push the heroes around the arena, slam it on the ground to create a shockwave, or take off one of the Bad Bananas and use it like a Bwananarang. He must be fought normally until he loses all of his HP, at which point he will start deploying shields. The heroes must step on all three panels to unlock a golden Blast Barrel, which will shoot the heroes at Mega Rabbid Kong and defeat him once and for all.
After being defeated, he reverts back to his normal self. After Rabbid Peach gives him a banana as an apology, Rabbid Kong accepts and becomes her friend. After this, he helps her fix the Time Washing Machine so she can go back to the Mushroom Kingdom, departing on good terms.
