Homestuck
Rose Lalonde is one of the 40 starting characters in Psychedelic Taco and a hero fighting for the dreamer. She one of the four players in the original session of Homestuck, and the Seer of Light. She was chosen for the roster as her home series has had some influence on GG's style.
After the game she was playing with her friends quickly escalated into the apocalypse (followed by another one), Rose ascended to become the Seer of Light and joined her friends in ensuring that the new universe would succeed where the original had failed.
Rose's nightmare counterpart is Lord English, one of the primary antagonists from Homestuck and a nightmarishly powerful foe.
Gameplay[]
Rose Lalonde is a fast moving character with high movement and attack speed. She also has extraordinary jump height. Rose attacks using the Thorns of Oglogoth, magical needlewands.
Her passive is Grimdark. As Rose's health depletes, an aura of darkness surrounds her. The lower her health, the more damage she deals.
- Neutral Special: Majyyk - Rose fires a blast of purple energy from her wands. This projectile does average damage and moves quickly. This is based on her use of 'Majyyk' in Homestuck.
- Side Special: Pink Shells - A pink turtle runs from Rose, breaking block of anyone it hits and weakening them. Pink turtles are the denizens of Rose's planet.
- Up Special: God Tier - Rose flies straight upwards. She gained this power when she ascended to God tier.
- Down Special: Seer of Light - Rose gazes into a magic cue ball. If struck during this, she counters with a powerful strike. Based on her powers as the Seer of Light.
- Reality Break: Derse Dreamer - Rose dream form appears, and uses its powers to rain light upon the battlefield, obliterating foes.
Deep Rest[]
Cthulhu is Rose's assist partner in Deep Rest.
Having defeated PT, Rose no longer knew what to do next. She absorbed his power and disappeared deep into the stars, searching for the next step of her journey.
Design Notes
I didn't realise until I started writing this page how little of Homestuck I actually remember. It made the moveset suprisingly difficult. Finding information about what the characters actually do on the Homestuck wiki is also really hard? Anyway, Rose is probably the character I'm least happy with so far, but oh well.
