Professor Waldin Kogenstein or W. Kogenstein is a character introduced in Super Mario Garden. He is a famous scientist and a servant of the ruler of the Wooded Kingdom. He is the one that invented most of the machinery in the Kingdom.

Description[]

He was a famous scientist in the Wooded Kingdom that used his machinery and knowledge to help the ruler improve the kingdom. He was the one who created the Steam Gardeners, along with a factory to mass produce them.

However, a long time before the events of Super Mario Odyssey, he went missing while doing some research inside a hidden cave and for decades most people assumed he was dead.

That is until the events of Super Mario Garden where it turns out he was stuck inside the very cave he was researching along with some piranha plants that kept him company.

SSGBrobot
S.S.G.B: The S.S.G.B. (Otherwise known as the Security Steam Garden Binocular) is a giant robot located on the Iron Road. It's designed to keep an eye out for threaths. Should it spot threats, it will be able to fire lasers towards said threat.
Robo-toady-Render
Robo-Toady: A robot designed to able to explore underwater areas and blend in with underwater creatures. Thanks to the legs, it can jump very high. It can also stick a mechanical tongue out in order to catch objects. And should there be a threat nearby,the Robo-Toady comes equiped with bombs.

Super Mario Garden[]

He made his first appearance in Super Mario Garden. In this game, Mario and Co. find him trapped inside a cave. He mentions that he's been stuck inside that cave for decades with some friendly Piranha Plants. He then thanks Mario and Co. by building some saucers so that they can go to space and reach the final world of the game.

Mario vs Wario: Full Moon []

He returns in Mario vs Wario: Full Moon. In this game, he can be found in certain levels looking for seeds. If Mario brings that seed to him, he will allow Mario to access a hidden area in a level.
