Princess Peach, also known as Princess Toadstool is the kind hearted princess of Mushroom Kingdom, her love is Mario. She is also great friends with Princess Daisy and is known for her bad habit of getting kidnapped by Bowser, who is also in love with her. Peach was born in the Mushroom Kingdom and was befriended by Yoshi as Baby Peach and spent time with Baby Mario. But when Mario was two years old, his parents sent him and Luigi to the real world and Peach was saved by the Yoshis. When Mario came back to the Mushroom Kingdom he met Peach again and they fell in love.

  +
Princess Peach is a main character in the Mario franchise. She is the kindhearted princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, debuting in Super Mario Bros. and first playable in Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA). She is also great friends with Princess Daisy and Rosalina and is known for often getting kidnapped by Bowser, although this has been played with more in recent years.
  +
  +
Outside of Japan, Peach's name was originally localized as "Princess Toadstool" up until the release of Super Mario 64. Some later games imply that Peach's full name is "Peach Toadstool", or that "Princess Toadstool" is the full title she possesses.

Relationships
  +
Toadette
  +
Peach first got to know Toadette during the events of Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, leading to Peach examining Toadette, and described her as a "rare Toad specie". Peach felt that Toadette would be a caring source for the community of the Mushroom Kingdom.
  +
  +
The two did not meet again until the events of Mario Power Tennis, where both sides had different tag team partners in a doubles tournament, eventually for both parties to be eliminated. Peach witnessed Toadette at an ice cream stand by the entrance ring of the Peach Dome, feeling devastated after being eliminated and her partner Toad parting ways. To help console Toadette, Peach offered her an ice cream cone and sat next to her while Peach had an ice cream cone herself.
  +
  +
During the events of Mario Superstar Baseball, Peach taught Toadette how to play baseball, even though both sides weren't familiar with the topic yet. With the support of Daisy, both Peach and Toadette swiftly developed and formed a team known as the Peach Monarchs.
  +
  +
As time went on, Peach and Toadette continued to do some other side activities, especially around the same time when Toadette purchased a lavish villa in Toad Town. Peach came to visit Toadette's newly found villa and taught her other useful life skills, especially how to cook, clean up, and play a musical instrument. This eventually foreshadowed Toadette converting one of the empty rooms of her villa into a music room, which would become a board map in Mario Party DS.
  +
  +
Before the events in the Baseball Kingdom, Peach took Toadette with her to Vibe Island for a little vacation, a similar site where Peach explored during the events of Super Princess Peach. After a five-day mission, the two met again at the Baseball Kingdom during the events of Mario Super Sluggers, only to be sworn into war against Bowser and his son, but with the aid of other known heroes and characters, they won a decisive baseball game that forced Bowser and Bowser Jr. out of the Baseball Kingdom for good.
  +
  +
Daisy
  +
Peach first met Daisy during the events of NES Open Tournament Golf. Nine years later, in Mario Tennis, the two met again, seemingly blossoming instantly, even though they had different tag team partners in the tournament. As Daisy was beginning to break through, despite having to immigrate all the way from Sarasaland, Peach felt that her philosophy was coming through like a pro, and the two ran into each other in the next Mario Party installments, 3 and 4 respectively.
  +
  +
During the events of Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, the two princesses finally became best friends, and their tandem would carry on to future sports video games, especially in tennis, baseball, basketball, and even the Olympics. Around the events of Mario Party 6, Peach honored Daisy during a ceremony, where Daisy received her honoree doctorate and was legally declared a citizen for the Mushroom Kingdom.
  +
  +
Aside from video games, both princesses have been considered to be hardcore hobbyists, where the two would frequently go to beaches and relax. One day, Daisy brought Peach with her to Sarasaland to foreshadow her aspiring dreams of visiting the region. During the mission, Peach was feeling somewhat frail and exhausted while at Cabana Village, so she rested on a beach bed with Daisy supporting her by giving her a massage and reflexology to refresh and lubricate her nerves. Peach felt that Sarasaland had more futuristic architecture than her native region in the Mushroom Kingdom, but she didn't mind at all. After touring the region, Peach brought home some things she purchased out of multiple outlets from Daisy's native region.

Though it is not known what Peach was up to prior to the events of the Super Mario Bros.: Plumbers Unite, she does get some screen-time in the CGI prologue. The morning after the Wario Bros. are arrested under the false accusations of robbing the royal vault (followed by the Mario Bros. being arrested for not trying to stop them), Peach is seen alongside several Toad Guards, and is the one who tasks the four plumbers with scouring the entire kingdom and collecting every cent of the stolen treasure. After they oblige and set off on their quest, Peach silently retires to her bedroom and plops onto her bed, expressing a slight doubt that Mario would truly commit such a crime, and wondering if someone else could possibly be responsible. Though Peach herself is not seen again until much later, it is stated that she was kidnapped by Bowser while the heroes were on their journey. After a long battle, the Koopa King's shell is sent flying into the bars of Peach's cage, setting her free and prompting her to kiss both Mario and Luigi like she normally does. She then sees Wario and Waluigi making gestures that imply their desire for a kiss as well. She is at first hesitant to do so, but Mario explains that they have been just as heroic as he and Luigi had, and agrees. However, when she tries to kiss Waluigi, his nose hits her in the face, followed by a loud cracking sound that implies that she broke her nose. And when she tries to kiss Wario on the nose, he grabs her waist and dips her instead , followed by a juicy kiss on the lips, which causes Peach to recoil at the taste of his breath. She vows to never kiss the two again, prompting Mario and Luigi to laugh as the five make their way back home. After the credits, Peach publicly declares that after proving their innocence, the Mario Bros. have had the charges erased from their criminal records, and the Wario Bros. have been rewarded with a portion of the castle's treasure.

  +
  +
During the prologue scene in Story Mode, Peach explores an unknown island three years prior to the game's events, having plans to convert the island into a paradise of baseball venues, but Toadsworth opposes, fearing that the Mushroom Kingdom's economy could fall into a recession. Peach's plans eventually foreshadow as the uncharted island turns into the birth of the Baseball Kingdom.

Additional scenes feature Peach purifying Daisy from her transformation into a statue, congratulating Toadette from stopping Bowser Jr. from transforming Daisy a second time, and guiding Daisy around the Daisy Cruiser.
  +
  +
In the scene after defeating Bowser during a decisive game, Peach is seen celebrating around the field, shaking hands and high fiving with the other characters before she stands towards the entrance of Bowser's Castle with Toadsworth by her side. Mario and Luigi come towards Peach and embrace her. She and the others then march towards the entrance of the Baseball Kingdom to gaze towards the binary sunset before the lights come on for the night.
  +
  +
As night falls, Peach is seen marching with other characters toward the Daisy Cruiser, where Daisy and Toadette serve as co-leaders of the regime. Peach stands between Toadsworth and a Lakitu while having some crème caramel, briefly giggling after the first taste. After a display of fireworks storm the night sky, Peach and the others head over to Mario Stadium. Peach laughs on two separate occasions when Daisy flips her bat and Toadette showboats.
  +
  +
During the last scene, the yachts bring everyone back to the mainland, where Peach boards one yacht where Toadette and Daisy are discussing their experiences in the Baseball Kingdom. Peach questions Toadette about how her experience went, which seemed only linear and sparce due to the fact that Bowser and his son were responsible for the mischief they committed. Peach explains that disaster can kick in without warning, especially if someone is only seeing a new place for the first time. After Toadette explains that she is confident that there is hope for the future, Peach, Toad, and Daisy embrace.

— Princess Peach- Ending, Super Mario Bros. 3

Outside of Japan, Peach's name was originally localized as "Princess Toadstool" up until the release of Super Mario 64. Some later games imply that Peach's full name is "Peach Toadstool", or that "Princess Toadstool" is the full title she possesses.

Relationships

Toadette

Peach first got to know Toadette during the events of Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, leading to Peach examining Toadette, and described her as a "rare Toad specie". Peach felt that Toadette would be a caring source for the community of the Mushroom Kingdom.

During the events of Mario Superstar Baseball, Peach taught Toadette how to play baseball, even though both sides weren't familiar with the topic yet. With the support of Daisy, both Peach and Toadette swiftly developed and formed a team known as the Peach Monarchs.

Daisy

Peach first met Daisy during the events of NES Open Tournament Golf. Nine years later, in Mario Tennis, the two met again, seemingly blossoming instantly, even though they had different tag team partners in the tournament. As Daisy was beginning to break through, despite having to immigrate all the way from Sarasaland, Peach felt that her philosophy was coming through like a pro, and the two ran into each other in the next Mario Party installments, 3 and 4 respectively.

Queen Shiitake

She and Queen Shiitake seem to know each other since childhood, as she is always spouting out bad things about her when she is brought up. She says that Queen Shiitake is the person who killed her parents with the illness they had. She says Queen Shiitake created that illness through science.

Super Mario Bros.: Legend of the Chaos Star

I am Princess Peach Toadstool, the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, and soon-to-be Queen of the Koopas! Once Bowser and I are married, we'll conquer many worlds together and rule above them all as king and queen, as husband and wife!
Legend of the Chaos Star Part 10

During the events of Super Mario Bros.: Legend of the Chaos Star, Princess Peach was captured alongside many others when Bowser once again seized control of her castle. After reading entries in Bowser's diary regarding his crush on Peach, Dimentia, one of the two dimension-bending jester twins that was recruited into the Koopa Troop, gave Bowser a love potion. Not only would this potion cause Peach to forget about Mario and fall in love with Bowser, but it would also become permanent within twenty-four hours of its use. After gaining this knowledge, Bowser decided to test the potion on Peach right away. Much to the Koopa King's delight and Daisy's disgust, the potion ended up working.

Daisy and Tiptron tried to get Peach to come to her senses, but to no avail. Along with a declaration that she intended to marry Bowser and rule the universe alongside him, Peach ended up having Daisy and Tiptron thrown into one of the Bowser castle dungeons shortly afterwards (while still having recollection of them), further demonstrating how evil she had become under the potion's influence.

Captain Toad: Pokémon Trainer

Princess Peach appears in Captain Toad: Pokémon Trainer. She is the one who asked Professor E. Gadd to give Captain Toad and Toadette their Starter Pokémon. E. Gadd stated her to be "one of the kingdom's strongest trainers", but Toadsworth is always worried about her. Peach started the investigation and the fight against Team Shell, but when she saw that Captain Toad and Toadette hold the capacity to defeat the villains, she revealed herself to be a member of the Royal Four and left the job of defeating Team Shell to them. After Captain Toad and Toadette defeating Team Shell, she and other members of the Royal Four can be challenged. She specializes in Fairy and Water type Pokémon. Her room is located at her castle's secret tower, between the Pokémon Center and Princess Daisy's room.

Super Mario Bros.: Plumbers Unite

Main article: Peach (Calamity)

Peach reappears as a playable veteran character in Super Smash Bros. Calamity, with a new moveset. In addition to several other changes, she now uses Perry from Super Princess Peach in her side, up and down special moves. Oddly, despite having a turnip in her art, Peach does not use any turnips in her new moveset.

Mario Hoops 3-On-3 Switch

Peach appears in Mario Hoops 3-On-3 Switch as a default playable character and the captain of the Peach Royals. She is a Technical-type character, and her special move is known as Heart Ball. She shares good chemistry with Daisy, who also serves as her default partner, while having bad chemistry with Bowser Jr..

Jake's Super Smash Bros.

Peach appears in Jake's Super Smash Bros. as a playable character. While some of Peach's special moves return (namely her neutral and down specials), Peach has also seen multiple other changes in order to better represent certain aspects of her character. Among these is giving her Perry from Super Princess Peach instead of a basic pink parasol, and having Perry assist her in her new up special move Poundbrella, which acts as a sort of ground pound similar to Kirby's Hi-Cutter move. Perhaps Peach's most drastic change is the introduction of a new Final Smash attack, which, like Mario's, is now based upon an attack she can perform in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.

Trophy Descriptions

Peach - Mario Party 10
Peach
The Mushroom Kingdom's regal ruler is none other than the elegant Princess Peach. Living in a giant castle and ruling over a legion of loyal, happy Toads, she's the most well-known and popular Mushroom Kingdomite. Peach has a problem with being kidnapped by the Koopa King, Bowser, though for what reason is anyone's guess. That's not to say Peach doesn't let herself get kidnapped, in fact she has fought against Bowser (or whoever else may have imprisoned her) on multiple occasions, sometimes teaming up with her knight in shining armour, Mario, or otherwise working alone while she waits for him to defeat her captor.

PeachySp0rts
Peach (alt.)
Throughout the Super Mario series, Princess Peach is commonly associated with hearts, and the colour pink. Couple that feminine affinity with her sparsely displaying some sort of magical abilities and you get attacks like Peach's side special move: Heart Shot. Of course, sometimes more... basic attacks can do the job instead; everyone knows that Princess Peach isn't above chucking turnips to defeat enemies, just as she's done in Super Mario Bros. 2.

Peachbros22
Psych Bomb
Unbefitting Peach's more regal and elegant aura, Super Mario RPG gave Princess Peach the ability to rain Bob-ombs down upon all of her opponents. A devastating attack, made even more unsettling by how cheerfully Peach calls upon this Bob-omb storm. In Super Smash Bros., she'll pluck a large Bob-omb from the ground as if it were just another turnip, surprising all enemies when they then get caught in a deadly hurricane of explosions.

Super Mario Quartz

Peach has a major supporting role in Super Mario Quartz. After being kidnapped by Bowser Jr. at the start of the game, she is quickly rescued by Mario in the Zen Kingdom after he defeats Pink Gold Peach. For a large portion of the game, she pilots the Odyssey with help from Tiara, and the player is able to talk to her at most points during the story.

After Mario defeats Iceburn in the Volcano Kingdom and returns to the Odyssey with Pauline, Tiara reveals to Mario that Bowser Jr. returned and managed to kidnap Peach once again. With Pauline now aboard, Tiara drives the Odyssey to Bowser Jr's Kingdom, where Mario must navigate the amusement park until he reaches the top of the Bowser Statue, where he faces off against Bowser Jr. and Kamek, followed immediately by Bowser. Upon defeating the three Koopas, Mario reunites with Peach, and the two of them, as well as Pauline, witness Cappy and Tiara sacrifice themselves to destroy Bowser's ultimate weapon.

After the credits, Peach decides to take Mario to the Space Kingdom, where he meets with Rosalina to find a way to bring back Cappy and Tiara. Mario completes a quest and Peach appears with him when Cappy and Tiara reappear. Peach is overjoyed to be with Tiara once again and she spends the remainder of the game inside the Odyssey.

Mario Super Sluggers HD

Peach is a playable character and team captain in Mario Super Sluggers HD for the Nintendo Switch. She has twelve palette swaps, including her Pink Gold incarnation.

During the opening cinematic, Peach is seen with Toadsworth at the entrance of the Baseball Kingdom, greeting the others who arrive on a yacht. Later in the scene, Peach is seen passing the ball to Mario, who then passes it to Luigi to make the final out.

Super Smash Bros. (arcade)

Peach is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. for the arcade. She has eight palette swaps.

Mario Power Tennis: Definitive Edition

Peach is a playable character in Mario Power Tennis: Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch. During the opening cinematic, Peach is briefly seen while her tag team partner Daisy returns the ball during a match against Yoshi and Donkey Kong. The princess duo is eliminated. During the night of the final match, Peach retreats to the upper edge of the venue with her longtime steward, Toadsworth, who announces the combatants of the finals of the tournament. As the participants take the court, Peach suddenly yawns, feeling tired and exhausted after enduring a whole day of tennis matches. Toadsworth shows some sign language, and Peach stretches high to stay awake. The match goes on as Mario and Luigi win the tournament.

Peach is a Technique type character. She has twelve color palette variants, including her Pink Gold incarnation.

Mario Sports Superstars Deluxe

Peach is a playable character in Mario Sports Superstars Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch. Depending on which sports is played, her form may vary. If she plays golf or tennis, she mans her sports dress. If she plays hockey, she wears her special winter outfit. She wears her two-piece uniform if playing any other sport. She is in the Technique category and has twelve color palette variants, including her Pink Gold incarnation.

Dr. Mario World

Peach is a playable character in Dr. Mario World for the Nintendo Switch. Her appearance is slightly different than the now-defunct mobile version as her footwear mans flat sandals rather than heels. She has eight color variants.

Koopa Kart series

Koopa Kart Wii

Princess Peach was originally going to be playable in Koopa Kart Wii, but was replaced with the Shadow Queen in the final version.

The Daily Life of Super Smash Bros. Phi

At the start of the series, Peach is a main character, but usually she talks to people.

Beach Peach

The swimsuit Peach wears in Issue 6

In issue 6, she became one of the central focuses. Going to the beach in the swimsuit on the right with Daisy and Rosalina, she accidently saw a hose, and stupidly, she drank out of it, becoming very fat, along with Daisy and Rosalina. After that, she liked her body, but unfortunately, she got popped by Vanny.

Peach, in the later issues, owns a shop called Peach's Good Flowers, which is how she gets her money.

Animal Crossing & Sonic at the Olympic Games Paris 2024

Peach appears as a VIP character in the game, meaning she can sometimes be found in the audience and the player is rewarded for finding her.
