The story takes place in a labyrinth where all worlds are combining.
Prologue - ???[]
???: I'm sorry. I'm sorry everyone. I am to blame for all this mess, but that's why I'm gonna fix this. I'm gonna fix this crap that I started. I need to... I have to... I have to redeem myself.
Chapter 1 - Smile[]
The Smile Pretty Cure side of the story starts with Miyuki, and Candy in her bag, being late for her hangout with her friends. Ever since they defeated Emperor Pierrot a year ago, they haven't hanged out with each other like how they used to, so they have group hangouts from time to time, which Miyuki had no real reason to be late for. Akane was more surprised that Yayoi showed up on time, considering the fact she was taking her Miracle Peace manga more seriously. Akane herself made it to the Ace Attacker position of her volleyball team. In fact, she's the M.V.P.. Nao is still playing football (soccer), but has been taking care of her siblings more often. Reika still hasn't chosen her career path. She apparently dropped becoming an archery trainer, which led to Akane joking about her quitting again. Candy is still the queen of Marchenland, and she can still hang out with them. Akane then reminded Miyuki about her book "The Greatest Smile", which she hasn't finished the prologue yet. After Miyuki freaked out, the hangout ended in a not so great way.
After the hangout, Reika asked Miyuki and Candy if they can follow her to a classroom. They did. Once they arrived, they see Reika trying to act like a teacher. She explains that she wants to be a teacher, and she didn't say it at the hangout because she wasn't comfortable enough to mention it to everyone. Miyuki and Candy are to act like the students, and now it's time for training. Reika started explaining about characters in history, like Izanagi & Orpheus. They both couldn't keep up.
After that long training session, Miyuki started walking back home with Candy in her bag, wishing Reika well with her career. Out of nowhere, the world shook like an earthquake. Miyuki hid in an alleyway which had a roof so she could be safe. Once things cleared up, both of them started questioning what happened. However, a figure with scars on their face stole Candy out of nowhere and ran off with Miyuki noticing. She then chased after him, but lost him very quickly.

Chapter 1 - Doki Doki[]
The Doki Doki Pretty Cure side of the story starts with a recap of when King Jikochuu invaded the Human World and the Doki Doki Pretty Cure stopping him and saving the world, as well as the earthquake that happened while King Jikocchu was vanishing from the heart. It ended up being the news showing what happened a few days ago, and how the Pretty Cure are true heroes. As school at Oogai First Middle School ends, people keep talking about the events. One person still couldn't believe that Mana is no longer the Student Council President. As Mana was thinking about the events & how more connected the world is, Sharuru asked what she was thinking about, which surprised her. She forgot that Sharuru was there in her fairy form because they had to save a runaway car right before school started. Due to that, the other fairies remained as well. Out of nowhere, Rikka & Raquel appeared and told them that Makoto K. had something to tell her. They leave the room to find her.
They arrived in another classroom, where Makoto K., D.B., & Regina were waiting. Makoto K. then showed them a sword that she made appear out of nowhere, shocking everyone but D.B., as she already knew. She had no idea how she was able to summon a sword, as well as it matching her Cure Sword appearance. What was also put in note is that she was able to summon it as her normal self and not Cure Sword. That wasn't the only thing she brought up. There were students & staff that were walking out of school and saying Cure Hero, like they're a princess. It started happening after the earthquake that happened when they defeated the Selfish King, so the Trump Kingdom is likely involved. They all agreed to check it out, but first, they should get Alice and Aguri.
At the docks, Alice, Lance, Aguri, & Ai appeared, ready to check out the Trump Kingdom. Regina was late for showing up however, but that was due to her returning to her home. She returned in her normal attire, explaining that she hated her school uniform and she just had to get her ribbon back. She also brought up that she can now make the Miracle Dragon Glaive appear & disappear out of nowhere. She also mentioned that she randomly saw glimpses of dark puddles with faces. Alice brought up that Sebastian mentioned something about fairies and snowmen appearing out of nowhere. Mana and Rikka brought up that some students were different school uniforms. Out of nowhere, Mana started having a headache. Out of nowhere, it cured, and she was acting normal, yet strange. She then asked if they're traveling to see Cure Hero, which confused everyone. She started explaining how amazing he is, and Sharuru did as well. When they asked if they praise Cure Hero, and they said no, they transformed. Now as Cure Heart, she was gonna attack them and give them a piece of their heart, so they can see how great Cure Hero is. They didn't want to hurt their friend, but they were left without a choice. They all transformed and got ready.
Docks - Makoto Kenzaki (Navi: Dabyi) VS Mana Aida (Navi: Sharuru)
Mana & Sharuru detransformed, and was wondering what happened. They mentioned that they were praising Cure Hero and attacked them when they wouldn't do the same. They couldn't remember. Before crazy events happen again, they transformed back to Cure Heart and flew to the opening that led to the Trump Kingdom. When they went through, they weren't in the Trump Kingdom, but was instead somewhere else.

Chapter 1 - P4[]
The Persona 4 side of the story starts with a new show airing on Junes's TV, being called Super Guardian Sparkle Girls. Everyone had different reactions of the show. Yukiko thought it was funny, Chie & Yu were kinda embarrassed about it, Teddie & Rise liked it, Rise mainly because she sanged the theme song, Kanji didn't want to admit he was interested, Naoto wasn't a fan, Labrys was confused about it, and, to everyone's surprise, Yosuke hated it. He was complaining about everything, including the names. Sparkle Sunshine, Sparkle Glitter, Sparkle Electric, Sparkle Neko, & Sparkle Pastries, which were all different themes. Yu tried to calm him down, and he kinda did. After he apologized about ruining their hang out, especially to Yu for him missing the train back home, he left to his house, and everyone went home afterwards. Labrys thought of going back to Mitsuru's place, and Yu then went back to Dojima's place.
At his Inaba home, Nanako was watching Sparkle Girls, much to Dojima's embarrassment. He told Yu what she was watching, and he brought up that he saw some of it at Junes. That caught Nanako's attention, and asked why he went to Junes without her. Dojima brought up that is a hangout just his friends. That and she wanted to watch the show. After that, Yu and Dojima kept talking, and out of nowhere, it was getting dark. It was time for everyone to go to sleep. Luckily, Nanako's show ended so she decided to sleep two. Yu then went to his old room to sleep.
Even though Yu was talking to Dojima earlier, he still didn't being up anything about the Midnight Channel, or even the events that currently happened with Labrys. It was just another day, and Yu then passed out, not realizing what was about to happen to the world.
The next morning, Yu woke up hearing Nanako speak in the livingroom. Turns out she was pretending to to be a Sparkle Girl mixed with her Magical Detective Love Line interest named Sparkle Detective. She was shocked to learn that Yu hasn't left yet and found out about her interest. Yu asked where Dojima went, and Nanako brought up that he left for work, although he mentioned something about a cure. Afterwards, Yu decided to play along with Nanako's charade, despite his embarrassment, and the two then went outside to play. Yu didn't know why, but something felt off. Out of nowhere, he got a quick glimpse of an Jikochuu before things went back to normal. He told Nanako he was gonna get something for his character in the play thing. In reality, he went in his room to grab his sword.
