The Power Moon Radar is one of Mario's Power-Ups in the Super Mario series of games that makes it easier to locate Power Moons. It first appeared in Super Mario Finale, and required the new Power Moon amiibo to use.
This power-up is free to use.

Super Mario Finale[]
Super Mario Finale is the first game to utilize the Power Moon amiibo. Scanning the amiibo uses up an amiibo Charge and instantly grants Mario the Power Moon Radar Power-Up, which also debuts in the game. While Mario is using the power-up, a radar appears on screen showing him the locations of nearby Power Moons. Additionally, to show that he is under the effects of the power-up, Mario emits a green glow that gets stronger as he approaches Power Moons.
The Power Moon Radar is unique in that it is the only power-up that can be used in conjunction with other power-ups. If Mario collects another power-up while using the Power Moon Radar, he will retain the radar on screen and his green aura until reverts to his standard form. This allows him to continue hunting for Power Moons without being hindered.

- The Power Moon Radar item is scarlet despite the fact that Power Moons are red and that the power-up gives off a green glow. Studio Lillie (t∣b∣c) said that this was to differentiate the power-up from the collectibles.
