Porygon is the Virtual Pokémon and #137 in the Pokédex. It is the first artificially created Pokémon, and evolves into Porygon2 using the Up-Grade, and Porygon-Z using the Dubious Disc. Unlike most Pokémon, it doesn't need to eat or breathe. It, along with its evolutions, can use the move Conversion/Conversion 2. It can also use Sharpen, in which it can sharpen its blue beak or shape itself into a defensive shield. Possibly one of its greatest abilities is the ability to travel into the vastness of cyberspace. Though being artificial, it can still lay and hatch from eggs...but since it's a genderless Pokémon, it requires Ditto for this.
Unfortunately, Porygon also represents a "black mark" on the franchise: it was the "star" of a certain animé episode that sent roughly 600 people to the hospital after having a seizure. The episode has never aired in Japan since, nor has it been released outside of Japan. Despite the fact that it was Ash's Pikachu who caused the seizures via a Thunderbolt on an antivirus program, Porygon took the fall and has only been seen in the animé in a limited capacity ever since, a ban that also extends to its evolutions.
All canon Pokémon are available in Tropes vs. Women in Pokémon Training, including Porygon, who is unofficially renamed "Porygon 1" in this game. It has a Sanclairian regional form in this game, with the following differences:
This Porygon was an open-source fork of the original. Unfortunately, internal strife and copyright infringement suits from Silph Co. have left it incomplete.
