Pokkén Tournament was released for the arcades in Japan on July 16, 2015, developed by Bandai Namco Studios. Bandai Namco stated that the arcade version of this game would also released in North America and Europe in arcades as well as Dave & Buster's.

Similar to a feature in various games, such as Super Smash Bros. and Killer Instinct, Pokkén Tournament now features where you can change the colors of fighters while selecting in the menu. Listed below are the playable Pokémon and their colors.
