This is Pokémon Trainer's appearance in Super Smash Bros. Havoc. For the character in other contexts, see Pokémon Trainer.

Pokémon Trainer is an unlockable playable character in Super Smash Bros. Havoc, and is a pseudo-newcomer from the Pokémon series. In his quest to be the very best and capture every Pokémon, the Pokémon Trainer picks up several helpful items along his way. As opposed to his appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Pokémon Trainer no longer stands in the background as his Pokémon fight for him, and instead uses the many items from the Pokémon world. Because of this complete change in how the character works, he is classified as a newcomer.

While the Pokémon Trainer's default costume is Red, the other playable trainers are alternate costumes.

How to Unlock[]

Poké Ball: Pokémon Trainer throws a Poké Ball. Has a 50/50 chance of spawning one of several Pokémon that will attack once and then return to the Poké Ball. Bicycle: Pokémon Trainer pulls out his bike and rides it for a bit. Eventually it will fall over and the Pokémon Trainer will fall off, leaving it as a throwable item, similar to Wario's bike. Super Rod: Pokémon Trainer pulls out the Super Rod and whips it upward. If it hits an enemy, Pokémon Trainer will reel the rod in and pull them down. If it hits a ledge, Pokémon Trainer will reel it in and be pulled up to the ledge and grab it. Black Flute: Pokémon Trainer plays the black flute which creates a barrier around him that both reflects projectiles and deals a small amount of damage.
Final Smash
Judgment: Pokémon Trainer pulls out the Azure Flute and plays it, causing the background of the stage to crack and reveal the Hall of Origin, with Arceus standing at the top. Arceus uses Judgment, which creates a black sphere in the center of the stage that shoots out small beams of light. The black sphere will suck opponents in and deal constant damage, while the beams will deal mediocre damage with huge knockback. After about ten seconds, Judgment ends and the crack closes.
