Pokémon Pyrope Version (Japanese: ポケットモンスターパイロープ Pocket Monsters Pyrope) and Pokémon Hauyne Version (Japanese: ポケットモンスターハウイン Pocket Monsters Hauyne) is the upcoming RPG game released on the Nintendo Switch, beginning Generation IX. The games were released in Japan on May 20, 2019, in North America on June 19, 2019, and in Europe on July 11, 2019. They take place in the region of Nigoya.

Battling

Within Pokemon Pyrope and Hauyne are a number of Battling Styles that have appeared in previous generations these are; Single Battles, Double Battles, Triple Battles, Horde Battles, Battle Royale & SOS Battles.

Battle Style	Description
Single Battle	A One-on-One Battle, each trainer can have up to 6 Pokemon each, in competitive play, players are limited to 3 Pokemon each
Double Battle	A Two-on-Two Battle, there are two variants, Classic Double Battles & Multi Battles, the prior has two trainers controlling two Pokemon at once with up to 6 Pokemon each, the latter has four players, working in pairs using up to 6 Pokemon each with a total of 24 possible Pokemon in battle. In competitive play, Classic Double Battle limits players to 4 Pokemon each while Multi Battle limits players to 2 Pokemon each totalling in 8 overall either way
Triple Battle	A Three-on-Three Battle, there are two variants, Classic Triple Battle & Multi Triple Battles, the latter is encountered once in-game in a three on three fight between the Player, Thomas & Cecilia/Sam against the Team Pulse. Classic Triple Battles have two individuals controlling three Pokemon with 6 Pokemon each while Multi Triple Battles have 6 trainers controlling a Pokemon each working in trios with up to 6 Pokemon each, totalling in a possible 36 Pokemon in play. In competitive play the Classic Triple Battle allows players to use all 6 Pokemon whereas Multi Triple Battles limit each player to two Pokemon per player.
Horde Battle	A One-on-Five Battle that occurs very rarely in the wild unless initiated by Sweet Scent, the wild Pokemon are often much lower leveled than other Wild Pokemon and are almost never encountered in evolved forms. Horde Battles can also become SOS Battles thus making there be even more than 5 Pokemon for the player to battle.
Battle Royale	A Four Way One-on-One Battle, each trainer controls up to 3 Pokemon each although one at a time. Battles are determined by the number of Pokemon knocked out and number of Pokemon the player knocks out as well as the health of the remaining Pokemon.
SOS Battle	Technically not a Battle Style in itself, quite commonly Pokemon will call for help of Pokemon in the area to come aid it, there is a 75% chance this call for help will work as long as the Wild Pokemon is not afflicted with a Status Ailment, many Boss Pokemon will also call for this help and cannot be stopped from doing so. In Pokemon Pyrope and Hauyne a Pokemon can call for up to 2 helpers even if they were part of a horde battle.
