Pohgerugg is based on both a Poltergeist and general furniture, in particular a rug and crochet needles, the Pokémon appears to be a circular rug with a face in the middle that has a constant smile however this is just a false cover for the actual Pokémon's body which is located beneath the rug and can be seen on the underside which has the same constant smile albeit completely black, the Pokémon's arms are quite short although it is able to punch with each arm rather effectively, it has four small stubby legs which allow it to move around which are located beneath its rug cover.
The rug design is rather geometric with squares, triangles, pentagons and hexagons making up the various overlapping shapes with diamonds making up a bulk of the design features in particular the false eyes as well as the outer ring of the rug's pattern. the crochet needle-like horns are located on the diagonals of the rug and when scared the Pokémon will raise its horns causing the rug to turn into a tall spire which the Pokémon uses in an attempt to intimidate potential threats. The colouration of the rug is a mixture of bright orange, pink, white and grey.
