Piraggid is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.
It evolves from Basculin at Level 41 when its HP<50%.
Like its pre-evolution, Piraggid is based on a Piranha fish, in particular adding a mixture of the Red-Bellied Piranha to the design. Although retaining the same general shape the Pokéon has four distinct body section; the head, chest, belly and tail, making Piraggid slightly longer in appearance. The black colouration on the pre-evolution extends to much of the Pokémon now covering most of the Pokémon's body, it is somewhat reflective shining in the sun. The Red/Blue and Green of its pre-evolution now appear as stripes on the side of the Pokemon leading from the lower jaw of the Pokémon. The Red-Fin variant has jagged stripes while the Blue-Fin variant has straight stripes.
The fins are considerably larger and more varied between its two forms, the Red-Fin variant has large spiked fins with spines connecting the webbing of the fins, the fins appear battle-damaged with holes in some of them, in addition the webbing of the fins has a slight pink-ish hue to it giving the Pokémon it's name. The Blue-Fin variant has long streamlined fins with a singular point at the end of each, appearing somewhat more elegant, the top fin on this form is particularly long reaching as far back as the rest of the Pokémon's entire body. Its fins are light-cyan in colour giving it it's name. The Pokémon's eyes now have black sclera instead of white sclera and the iris of the eye is much brighter appearing as the most vivid shade of red and blue on each Pokémon respectively. The Green colour on both forms is also quite dulled with the red-fin variant having a more lime-coloured tone while the blue-fin variant has a more aqua coloured tone.
